  1. I investigated abit accelero and bought one today for 50 euros brand new sealed, I will install it these days, it seems to be "thight" fit, but problem should be solved. Ty @whoisit1118 for suggestion. I will post my results somewhere else if you guys are interested. Thread can now be closed ty.
  2. Hi there, My name is Luka I am from Europe. I have Asus GTX 1080 Turbo 8G. Reason? It was a good deal, I mean really good. So problem is this card has alot of overclock potential with my testings, but I could be wrong cause card was overheating too much to point where it thermal throttles. Default temps in any of games are around 75-80. It has alot of OC potential as I mentioned but problem is temps go to 90, and then you know what happens. I don't think I have to explain that much. I was looking into Alphacool Eiswolf 120, that supports watercooling for my card and its AIO but with taxes and shipping its around 220 Euros, which is too much for me. After that I was suggested to look into Arctic Accelero IV and III, but couldn't find anyone that put it on GTX 1080 that I have, so its risk even to buy it? I am now using it on stock speeds cause its only "stable" ver. that I have. I appologize for bad English infront and hope you guys will understand in what position I am now. Cause both store and asus are not gonna provide me solution, but to keep my card at stock speeds. I would really like some kind of cheap cooling solution. Also if you have any coupons that would be great. My specs are: i7 4770k 4.5Ghz, with Seidon AIO 120mm 24GB Mushkin, 2133Mhz CL9 Maximus VII Ranger CS 750M case is Silencio 652S And card is as I mentioned ASUS GTX 1080 TURBO 8G If you need more info please tell me, my budget is around 100 euros.
  3. Hi, Sorry for bumping this thread, I bought same monitor, it has a sticker and says October 2017 and it came with DVI DUAL LINK cable. But since I had DP cable, i plugged DP in my monitor, it worked fine. I turned off pc for 7-8 hours, and now says DP no signal. And I have read this monitors have problem with DP before, but newer revisions should work just fine?! So I opened DVI-D cable that came with monitor plugged it in, and works like charm for now... I got ASUS GTX 1080 TURBO. I only changed refresh rate to 144Hz and thats it, I also turned off monitor and PC, seems to be working. But DP is not working properly, should I return monitor? Can you recommend me some monitor in almost same budget that actually works, or should I keep this one? I bought it from https://www.mall.hr/
  4. I am from Croatia, so Europe also. I am asking about TN vs IPS, should I go for TN monitor with 1 ms, or IPS 4ms. Both are same, but TN panel is alot cheaper! Also I have ordered stuff from Amazon.de and ComputerUniverse.de alot before. I saw PG278QR also, don't worry I am just sceptic about TN panel cause I had IPS panel 60Hz WQHD, and never TN.
  5. I am now looking at ASUS ROG PG279Q, 165 Hz G-Sync, IPS. But there is also a TN version of this monitor PG278Q which has TN panel. 144Hz I no g-sync! I should mention the deal on TN is much cheaper, what you guys think I should go for?
  6. Thats why I am thinking about unsubscribe, cause before channel was better, he was showing BIOS of new MBO, he was explaining changes. Now its like 10 minute video, and 30 sec ok lets show benchmarks... totally ridicilous. And you don't even know on what machine they have made benchmarks, is your cpu old enough etc. Just wanted to say his channel was better in 2009 or something.
  7. Seems like your country is so bad at this, we can transfer guarantee papers by hand. So if I buy something I can sell it, and buyer can replace the item with my guarantee. Because he has all the paperwork. I have shown links from ebay, but basicly I buy most stuff out of something you call "craiglist"? And even this 1700$ he made, is alot cheaper even if I go with haswell devils canyon, that stuff sells for 230 euros. And DDR3, is also very very cheap, and there isn't much performance boost, when I overclock devil's canyon easly to 4,7 or 8 ghz.
  8. Hi everyone, I am Luka, I come from all the way from europe from a small country Croatia (its across the italy, the footlike country italy..) Anyways, I saw a video where you had some forum challange named "Badass Full Gamin Pc Cheaper than a CPU???" . To me the winner and whole challange is ridicilous. Since your Channel is international, I don't wanna be rude but the components that won the challange are so ridicilous, cause 1 they are brand new and 2 has anyone tried to build a PC from used parts or think of server MBO? I will talk in US Dollars down: I can get 2x xeons 2011 socket for 57$+shipping watch http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Xeon-E5-2670-8x-2-6GHz-Octa-Core-CPU-20MB-LGA2011-SR0KX-CM8062101082713-/182264327880?hash=item2a6fcceec8:g:czYAAOSwV0RXsy19 CPU: 2 x XEON E5 2670 OCTA CORE 20MB for price of 114$+ shipping 20$ Next I need a mobo, a good one would one that supports ofcourse those 2 xeons, its not a problem I can get one from here for 450$ + free shipping,http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asus-Z9PE-D8-WS-SSI-EEB-Chipset-Socket-R-Workstation-Motherboard-Intel-C602-/172320365650?hash=item281f181c52:g:1mEAAOSwZVlXn1Q6 MBO: ASUS ZPE D8 WS for the gpu, wait did I mention this mbo supports QUAD SLI/ AND CROSSFIRE? I will just stick 2 used 295X in there Ok i need powersupply, I will randomly buy something to hold up, those 2 cpus are 130 W + the around 2x500= 100 + 260 = 1460w OK i need a good one, around 200$ maybe.. for 2x1500W I will not go on, but you see my point.. Sorry for long post. and early post.
  9. Are you saying that VRM 1 is not on left side of GPU core, and VRM 2 is not on right side? Its opposite? Should I put small fan blowing into water block? Also would love to see your OC settings. Also are you using crimson drivers?
  10. Hi, Just wanted to bump this thread, I've upgraded the card with water cooling block from Alphacooling, the temps vent down, and its low noise. Still VRM1 seems impossible too cool it down. This is downclocked card, i know its summer, but my loop is 1-120 mm rad + 1-2x140mm rad, and a good pump. I've connected everything in correct order. and radiators are both full copper, and trust me, this pump would cool down everything if the whole block of card isn't overheating the whole pc case. And this is the block I purchased: http://www.alphacool.com/shop/gpu-cooler/ati-fullsize/20327/alphacool-nexxxos-gpx-ati-r9-390-m03-mit-backplate-schwarz and here are my results, its painfull to watch and when I touch the block of graphics card, its so hot, it seems impossible to do anything. I've searched solutions over internet, but I can't find any result cause everyone RMA card, and they didn't wanna RMA it for me. Cause temps were acceptable, 90C and fans where spinning at 100% I am happy I cooled down the card, but I want to solve VRM problem. Is there any custom BIOS which will solve this problem, I have also sent message to asus but no answer from them, will try again ? Look at the VRM1 temp and this is "silent mode". Here is picture of temps, with "silent" mode from their GPU Tweak Tool:
  11. Hmm, i remember seeing linus video where he put 2 nvidia cards in sli, the gtx 8800 series and some newer 2013 gtx 480 or something, and played crysis 3. Can't find link, it worked but gtx 8800 was to slow or something so test failed, still he put together 3-5 year old different cards in system, and 1 was used for physics the 8800 series I think. Trying to find video, but hmm. Also I think its possible to SLI 960 with 2gb and 4gb, but you will have only 2 gb VRAM, while AMD doubles up VRAM, when you put together same cards.
  12. Well... amd should know people if people wanna cf their cards, they should make it backward compatible like nvidia...
  13. As title says is it possible to crossfire these cards. I know 290 can't cf with 390, but can 390 cf with 480?
  14. Hi, thank you for answer. I got overheating issues with my asus r9 390 strix card, thats why I am watercooling it, and this is only water block I found in europe availabe with good price for my GPU., that is cooling vrm1 and vrm2. I need something that will cooldown gpu properly, I am not very "pro" when it comes to this stuff. I bought alphacooling r9 390 m03 for my card that will arrive hopefully till end of this or beginning of next week and trying to create a loop for it (only for GPU). Issues I found with it are if I put it on top of my CPU cooler that is noctua nh-d14 I think it would be too large and hard too go around it with pipes, so I tought best solution would be go for a smaller 1x120mm radiator to back of case and a small pump. There is also place for a radiator in front of case, for a larger 2x140mm. You can look at specs of my case here: http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower-silent-series/silencio652s/ I really appriciate your answer, and hope you can answer to me and that you understood what my problem is and tell me what is best option you would do. Cheers, Luka
  15. First: Is Cryorig A40 (found it for around 80€) any good for cooling my i7 4770k and replacing noctua nh-d14 , I was having it on 4.5Ghz, but changed MBO its at 4Ghz atm, something is wrong with temps, I think I put to much presure on cpu (maximus vii ranger ) and Case (CM 652s). Second: Should a single radiator be enough for watercooling r9 390 strix? I already ordered block for card, they are out of stock atm, should recieve it within a next week. I was thinking of putting cryorig on top, and single one for GPU on back of my case. But problem is also pump, i got some cheap syscooling chinese pump, dunno if its smart even to have such thing in my system but I wouldn't like to overpay anything! And I saw some cheap copper radiators from used parts in my country. Can you help me choose one for alphacooling r9 390 m03? Thank you, and sorry for poor english
