  1. Also, for a hilarious more in-depth discussion on the topic:
  2. What are you talking about? The purge IS real, in the Philippines, haven't you heard of their new president? They call him "The Punisher" for a reason
  3. Holy fucking shit. http://www.wired.co.uk/article/us-gov-lift-ban-part-human-part-animal-embryo-development Basically, the practice has been banned in the US, and now it really seems like that ban is about to be lifted. The arguments for lifting the ban are pretty much about helping us deal with all sorts of diseases and medical conditions: And the arguments against are, well, pretty much as expected: What do I personally think? I think this is actually a healthy step to take - it will eventually help us learn much much more about our body, and maybe even discover some pretty interesting stuff in the process which we couldn't any other way. On the other hand, this could produce some pretty insane results.
  4. I currently have a GTX 750, which is starting to feel more and more dated as the months pass..
  5. This sounds like it could persuade some anti vaxxers to maybe switch sides - who can say no to peanut butter covered m&m's?
  6. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/jul/12/us-government-black-footed-ferret-mandm-vaccines That's right folks, you read it correctly. Apparently they tried a different method that wasn't as feasible for larger areas, so they decided to utilize drones instead: I had trouble believing I was actually reading what I was reading at first, but then I found more and more sources on the story.. I'm pretty surprised that some college fraternity hasn't tried doing the same thing yet, sans vaccines. UPDATE:
  7. Banned for having high expectations.

  9. Welp, better safe than a charred remain of your former self...
  10. Yeah, I've of course seen this clip, I meant my lack of knowledge in a more lack of personal experience kind of way - you can only learn so much from an 11 minute clip..
  11. http://www.theverge.com/2016/7/8/12132806/apple-25m-patent-lawsuit-settlement-network-1-mirror-worlds And it looks like this patent is a gift that keeps on giving: It's amazing that every once in a while a patent troll is able to take down a company as big as apple. I'm not extremely familiar with the patent system in America and how much it's being taken advantage of, but this seems like a prime example of how rigged it looks to be to outsiders. Has anyone on the forum had any experiences with the judicial system regarding patents, or anything like that?
  12. You guys,I think if we went as far as to suggest that Canada militarize their spirit animal with maple syrup and a PA system - we've gone too far for now Or have we?
  13. I agree with you entirely. I think the book Ready Player One really sums up how VR would affect our world eventually - we wont be doing most things in VR, simply because it's more convenient. I think the fact that a very major NBA franchise decided to use VR is an incredible step in that direction, and it really feels like it happened a little sooner than expected.
