  1. Unfortunately a Wide Screen doesnt fit together with my other Display. Theres just not enough space for both of them
  2. Alright, thank you very much. I think Im going with the Asus MG278Q, as G-Sync isnt that important to me and 200€ additional charge is not worth it for this kind of feature.
  3. I see, thanks for the heads up.
  4. Thanks for your suggestion. How does the green team handle a Freesync Display? I've heard somewhere that its locked to either 72 or 144hz when using that setup. Can you confirm or deny that and clear it up a bit?
  5. OMG, I just completely forgot about that, Ive got a GTX 760 at the moment, but my GTX 1080 is on its way to me. And I dont really know the use of g-sync. Im going to inform myself about that. I am living in Germany.
  6. Hello, I am looking for a Display and as I dont know much about Displays and their specs to focus on, I decided to ask the great community of Linus to help a fellow PC Gamer out. To help you with helping me, hue, I decided to answer some question so you have some information on what I want. What do you plan to do with this monitor? - Games only What resolution and screen size do you want? - 1440p and preferably 27" What refresh rate do you want? - 120/144hz How much are you looking to spend? - Depends on the features and brand Brands Preferred: any with at least a decent reputation Brands Not Preferred: Korean/Chinese Brands, as I think their quality isnt as good as Western Brands'. Also your opinion on this prejudice. Thank you very much Edit: In hesitation I forgot to mention my GPU. Its a GTX 760 and my 1080 is on its way.
  7. Wow, that was a fast answer. Thank you very much for that. Btw, is there a something like a 'answer feature' just like reddit has it or do I have to quote?
  8. Hello Guys, I'm currently sitting on a Xeon E3 1230 v3 coupled with a EVGA GTX 760 4GB and I've got 2 1080p screens at the moment. I am using my PC only for gaming. So I want to upgrade to a custom GTX 1080/1070 - havent really decided yet, and stock is pretty low right now anyway. In future I'm planning on upgrading to a i5 6600K with a decent Watercooling to have some OC playroom. Furthermore I am going to buy a 1440p@144hz or a 4K@60hz Monitor aswell, depending on the prices and your feedback. There are a few questions that I have about my plans: Will a 1080/1070 bottleneck my 1230 v3? If yes, how bad is it gonna be? Should I even upgrade to a 6600K or wait for AMDs Zen or even the next Generation of Intel? and last but not least, 1440p vs 4K, will it be possible as soon as I have my new setup and can you recommend me a affordable screen that is at least 27"? I'd be very grateful if you could give me your opinions on my plans and also what you would be doing differently. Sincerely, a fresh user of LinusTechTips forum and first-time-poster PS: forgive me if I made a mistake on the chosen Topic
