  1. Yeah got a new CPU, 4460 for £160 and it works now, but pretty bad performance the broken 4670k was £140 (from ebay) and I can't get it refunded, I was planning to OC to 4.0GHZ + any ideas what to do with a broken CPU?
  2. Also tried RAM just a single stick in all 4 slots. no success + Switching out CMOS battery from my old to new motherboard. + Board is on a cardboard box to avoid shorts.
  3. i5 4670k - I heard CPU rarely die. MSI gaming 3 - Possibly broken??? 2 x 4GB Ram one is Kingston another is ballastix I believe AMD 390 - not used when I try to turn on. No HDD / SDD used when I try to turn on. Problem is the display does not show when I have CPU, motherboard and RAM installed. I can confirm the 24 pin Power cable is plugged in as well as the 8 pin for the Motherboard. (and video cable, I have tried VGa as well as HDMI on the Motherboard, my CPU supports integrated graphics.) I have used the same PSU and Ram on my older PC so I put them back on to my old CPU and Motherboard, it works fine - boots to Bios. The CPU heatsink will spin up, the motherboard led's will show, shows signs of life however no signal on my monitor, which I can confirm works. If My Motherboard is likely to be broken, I will shoot down to the local store and pick one up, no bother.
  4. Which ever OS you prefer, I would prefer to have an Samsung S7 because of the phone being waterproof and looks better in my opinion! Should wait to see what the Iphone 7 offers in the coming months
  5. /r/futurology recent articles and news about projects, and what's being developed/ coming to market. /r/formula1 fellow nerds nerding about F1 <3
  6. Keep your CPU and upgrade your 980 to a 1070/1080 whatever you can afford your CPU is Excellent and you shouldn't worry about the advantages of another CPU.
  7. Depends on the game, i'm running a R9 390 + AMD X4 760k on GTA V the GPU get's bottlenecked, so on high settings I get around 40-45fps. However I bought an i5 4670k which I know will run GTA V at Ultra 60-70FPS. What I'm trying to say is some games will be more demanding of the CPU, and strongly advise you buy a relatively priced Intel pentium or I3 for an easier upgrade path. (Don't have to switch the motherboard from AMD to Intel - mistake I made)
  8. Upgrade your PC, you need 3x 1080 for that!!!
  9. Well you will be able to upgrade on the LGA 1151 socket, which you can get the i5 6600k and i7 6700k. However technology moves so fast these days! And AMD release their new line of CPU's in Q1 of 2017 (I think i've seen) Along with Intel released a new line of Cpu's (I imagine every 2 or so years)
  10. Strongly agree with @rn8686 if you get an i3 you can upgrade in the future using the same Motherboard, a mistake I've made and slightly regretted.
  11. Yes, plus, In my opinion Windows 10 > Windows 8.
  12. You will have no issues using the wireless adapter on a different OS, as long as it's windows, I'm confident it will be fine. Might be a case of TP-Link not updating their webpage, I know my TP-L adapter works with Windows 8 and 10
  13. woowowowow Would love to have something as portable as this
