I'd recommend upgrading the power supply to 400w minimum just to be sure, then the 1050ti would be ok.

Yes it depends on how your wire them up in parallel and series but you can get it so that you boost the voltage to the required amount for the laptop. Do remember though you will need to have a balance circuity for the cells to ensure one doesn't discharge more than the others.

The psu is grounded through the wall socket. The motherboard grounds thru the 24-pin main power cable of the psu.

Your PC case does not need to be made of metal, otherwise all laptops would be made of metal. Most cases are made of metal because it is relatively cheap, durable, and easy to machine.

ah, yes sorry. I was extremely stupid to this subject last month and am frankly ashamed of how dumb that idea was.

GL502VT is fine. But it's last gen. With no tb3.

u do u. seems like you made up your mind. if you refuse to accept that the new blade stealth severely bottlenecks any desktop gpu + tb overhead performance lost and you don't care about your money, fuck it, buy it then. We're just telling you facts. Btw none of those "reviews" actually do any reviewing. They awe and gawk at the cherry picked no quality control version that Razer sends them and then proceeds to avoid doing stress testing or doing core testing.

TF2 and MC should be fine off of iGPU, but other games like Grid will need the Core. Overall I'd say blade+core. You will need a GPU though, maybe a 1060.

Try and make a laptop with desktop parts (Probably going to end up as a big block of plastic and metal)annnnnnd nvm. That's not a review

You can probably pick up a 1060 laptop or maybe a barebones 1070 ones. MSI is traditionally more expensive than everyone else so don't be discouraged on August 16th and they release and you find out wtf. Clevo is generally much cheaper than MSI with comparable build quality. Like 980m MSI costs something stupid like 2400 and on Clevo its like 1700.

That FE/reference cooler is sexy, in Black it looks like something Batman would have in his rig. Going to hurt taking it off.

Kinda my my thought as well. I won't be pushing it too hard until January anyway so that does give me time to come up with a cooling solution. Even if I have to limit its boost speed it should offer enough to get me by. My worry is if that isn't even enough. Which will be answered once reviews hit. But my excitement is hard to contain.

I know this is irresponsible speculation but looking at the TDP and the size of that chip I'm wondering if the Pascal based Titan X is going to run hotter than a Trump supporter at a Mosque. As long as the reviews place it in line with Nvidia's claims I plan on picking one up (unless you can show the same performance for cheaper don't suggest not getting it) So do you think water cooling will be mandatory? Maybe a AIO from EVGA right away. I have great airflow in my case but with a blower cooler not sure that will matter, and it looks to be the same cooler that has problems keeping the 1080 cool. Thoughts?

Wolf585 reacted to v-raze in Corsair 380t Question
According to Corsair's page, the only mounting points for fans/rads are on the front, back and side panels. Also, from what I can see in the picture, those two holes are part of the latch for each side panel- if you look on the underside of the latch itself on the panel, you'll see two corresponding pegs sticking out.

Hooray! I just voided my warranty for the great cause of looks. I painted my graphics card orange, with plasti dip, and it looks great on camera and looks pretty bad in real life. I'll re do it. Eventually. Does primer also peel of when plasti dip was sprayed on it? Or will I have to go with a "LTT themed" (probably not allowed to call it that) card if I ever decide to sell it after upgrading.
