  1. Not sure if this is the right place to post this so sorry in advance! So recently I've been playing the new WoW expansion and I was starting to have some low framerates (40s which I wasn't happy with). My old system was a 6700k and a GTX 1070 strix. I decided to treat myself for the new year and have a cheeky upgrade! I managed to find a RTX 3070 TUF edition for £400 used, I added some sleeved cables and modded the case with dbrand skins ( I got the 1msq panels from aprils fools the year before and was saving them for a rainy day) Specs are ; CPU - i7 6700k RAM - 16GB 3200mz Corsair LED white ( literally bought them 2 months before they brought out the RGB ones sadge) MOBO - MSI Z170 Mortar AIO - Corsair something GFX - Asus TUF RTX 3070 Storage - 1TB NVME SSD in an adapter - 512 GB Samsung 860 evo Case - NZXT H410 Mouse - Razer Naga 2020 Left handed edition ( I'm a one handed gamer with a disability) Keyboard - Razer something with browns Headset's - Senheiser HD 569s - Sony MX1000 mk iii ( cant remember model number ) Mic - Blue yeti snowball Speakers - M- Audio 5 inch studio monitors Audio interface - Focusrite Scarlet Solo - M Audio MTrack Hub Deskpad - LTTSTORE deskpad Monitors - LG Ultrawide ( 75 Hz) cant remember model - BenQ 24" IPS Ignore the mess this was when I first moved here! Thanks for your time everyone!
  2. Ah right okay. So when it comes to liquids , what’s the best? My colour scheme is white/light blue so I preferably want liquids that will go with that . Anything that i should stay away from?
  3. What if i were to put the pump/res in this position in the picture . I saw someone else do it and think it looks good. Does it matter that it is not the right way up?
  4. I believe that it is the pump yeah listening to it now . The front aio is actually the thickest AIO corsair do at 45 or 40 mm with fans on one side with still a little breathing room. Ill have a look at EK now, especially for there pump/res combos
  5. Same here , plus you can get a free sync monitor down the line if that floats your boat
  6. Same here , this is what I learnt while i was back at college! One place that i think is really good ( from my experience ) is a website called hackerrank. Its got a bunch of resources for you to read and a bunch of easy challenges that you can program right from your browser
  7. Morning all! So one of my New Years resolutions was to finally watercool my system that i have. Its something that I’ve always wanted to do but never could justify the money for it . I don’t have a lot of knowledge in this area so this is why I’ve come for help here. I want to watercool my CPU and GPU only . Nothing fancy with soft tubing will do for now. By the end of the year i will want to switch to hardline though . Case : NZXT h400i CPU : i7 6700k GPU : GTX 1070 STRIX The reason why I want to watercool is to have a silent system rather than a cooler one. This is cause my flat is a studio so everything is in one room and I’m fed up of my PC sounding like a jet engine. First question is: How much radiator real estate do i need? Second question : Are there any good suppliers for water cooling hardware for the UK? Final question: What’s it like to watercool in the case that I have ? There is not a lot of room in it for watercooling so I’m happy to do a bit of modding if need be. Below you will find a picture of my system if that helps at all?
  8. No - the 1050ti will be much better and it costs only a little more
  9. See i assume that you have a pre built from the dell mobo and I don’t think the power supply in it could handle a 980ti as they are very power hungry what i would do is pick up a gtx 1070 as that is the easiest upgrade option but that i7 will start to bottle neck something like that. Go for a 1070 then as soon as you can , go for a cpu upgrade like a ryzen 5 2600
  10. Not a bad system that you have there but i noticed that you have a none K processor. This is still good but the stock cooler is pants. What I would do is pick up cheap one like the 212 evo or the cryo C7 . Both of these are good options
  11. I’m struggling to think of anything else man , sorry . Tu need someone with more knowlage than me . @paddy-stone
  12. Hmm okay . What I’d recommend doing is looking at your mobo manaul. It will have a list of error codes to look up so then you will find out the problem
  13. What your going to have to do then is turn everything back to stock then that should solve the problem. The OC is probably too much pal
