Travelling soon and I need a good and reliable laptop, I was looking at these laptops as I like the style and the specs seem pretty good (Im not familiar with the laptop space). I would be 100% be willing to do that, but the laptop is falling apart, plastic is cracking, and the battery has been replaced multiple times and still has problems keeping a charge

Looking to buy a new laptop for my Mom, she currently has a Lenovo Thinkpad (4gb ram, i5 6200U, 1tb hdd), its starting to show its age and needs to be replaced. I am not really sure what to get and was hoping for some advice, it needs to have a good battery, good screen, and not take forever to open google and do basic tasks. I recently used a proctor and they changed some of my "screen resolution" settings and I noticed that when I go from my left monitor to my right monitor slowly, my cursor gets stuck on the border of my left monitor (which never used to happen). The only way I can get my cursor across is by moving it quite fast (which I don't wanna be constantly doing). Hoping someone could help me out!

I recently wrote a test online which required a proctor, I downloaded their software and they controlled my computer for a few minutes (changing some screen settings) moving my mouse around and ran a script closing background applications. After I finished my test, I ended the session and closed everything. How do I make sure that all of their software is off my computer? (im a little bit paranoid).
