I feel that at some appropriate anniversary Linus and Maddison should do a react video to their original RiG reboot vid.

AMD managed to support 3 different generations of cpu's plus another one coming on the socket. Intel choosing not too support older 6th and 7th gen intel lga1151 boards and making a so called "new" socket seems a bit of a petty move. If AMD can why can't Intel, it's clearly not impossible.

I accept the premise for this vid. If someone asked me for a money no object gaming setup then I would probably list what you have.
But surely you knew what was coming in the comments, especially on YouTube. Was it deliberate? can a video go viral through comment section activity?

For someone to buy, not literally everyone to buy. As mentioned earlier, he did a sickstream the other day with a mid-priced rig build. This is considered to be an "extreme" build that he'd recommend someone with a high budget actually purchase, as opposed to the crazy stuff they build occasionally that's wildly impractical/dumb, where this is a solid high-high-end build that makes (some) sense.

How many mid-price builds does anyone want? It'd be a pretty boring start, "Hey guys, let's talk about Glasswire, ok we're building with a 2600x, gtx 2060 super and solid mid-priced ram/ssds, for the 12th time this month like every pc youtube channel out there"

I don't blame LTT for including (using?) PewDiePie in the vid. All hail the algorithm etc,
But I feel that CaptainSparklez would of been such a better match. The whole Revenge / Creeper thing, and he has saying in his streams recently that he wants to update his setup

Slightly misleading screenie, Linus did reach across for it, but didn't make mention of it.

Also, I understand why you didn't, but you do have a small team of three with you. And they have small hands for the delicate work.

Sacredsock reacted to mariushm in 5V 2A or 12V 1.5A: which charger is faster?
In theory the 12v 1.5A will charge a battery faster, because it can provide up to 18 watts to your device. The 5v 2A charger can only give 10 watts.

However, the device (phone or whatever) must either be capable of working directly with 12v, or must support Quick Charge or USB Power delivery or some other method of signaling the charger to raise the voltage from the default of 5v to 9v or 12v.
By default, the charger will output 5v - the phone or whatever you have normally "talks" to the charger and tells the charger it's safe to raise the voltage from 5v up to 12v.  If your phone does not support Quick Charge or an alternative method, then the fancy charger will only provide 5v at 1.5A , so less than 5v at 2A.

Also, it's debatable if it's a good idea to shove so much power into a battery very fast. Yes, you may push 18w into the battery and charge it fast, but the batteries may heat up a lot and at the end of the charging process, the batteries may hold let's say 90% of the maximum capacity. If you charge them slower, at only 10 watts, it will take longer to charge them but the batteries will be cooler and they may charge up to 98-100% of their rated capacity...

Charging with just 5v can also be more efficient... for example using 5v to charge a 3.7v..4.2v battery may be done with 97% efficiency ... but converting 12v to 3.7v..4.2v may be only 92-95% efficient ... so if you charge from a power bank or some solar power installation or some source where it's critical to be as efficient as possible, it may make more sense to use the 5v only charger.

Sacredsock reacted to power666 in The WEIRDEST Video Card We’ve EVER Seen..
Nope due to being a glorified MXM carrier card.  The outputs of the MXM card go through the edge connector.  Those outputs are routed on the carrier card to the HDbaseT transceivers.  Conceptually you could swap MXM cards but there are some quirks (nVidia GPUs only support four outputs where as the card in the video has six.)

If you wanted to go that distance, you can get external extenders that'll accept an ordinary HDMI input.

I disagree a little here, as a tech youtuber and reviewer their reputation and trustworthiness is paramount.
If a reviewer tells me that a product from company X is worthwhile buying I want to know that it is an honest opinion, if company X has paid in anyway for that review, either cash or otherwise, I want to know so that I can include that in my decision to purchase that product. hence the importance of #sponsored
