  1. i plugged the speakers into my phone and they work fine whilst connected to the phone the problem only occurs when the speakers are plugged into the PC the distortion happens with all audio devices i plug into my PC (other speakers, headphones etc.)
  2. i recently cleaned my computer using a can of compressed air and found that my audio coming from my speakers was distorted when i went back on my pc i have tried to fix the problem in a number of different ways. the first way way replacing my aux cable however this did nothing. i also tried plugging the audio cable it to my front io and the io on the motherboard at the back however this did nothing. i have also tried plugging in another speaker via aux and the same distortion occurs for this reason i know that the problem does not lie in my speakers or any of the hardware however i have also updated my drivers via device manager with no change to the audio. the distortion that i am hearing from the speakers is that of a fractured sound with static and a fan like sound (fractured) . the sound only occurs at certain pitches often in the lows. i have not found a solution online and am looking for an answer, i was thinking that maybe i have damaged something internally e.g.the HD audio socket and have unplugged and plugged it without a change in the situation
