Interesting. So I could care less about efficiency then if I understand what you're saying. Since the server wouldn't even be pulling much from the wall. (I don't think it would anyways...) Would incidental airflow help with the heat issue? I just want the system to be quiet, but if lifespan > noise and the trapped heat would be a problem then I guess I could forgo that ask as well

Hello! I'm looking to build a NAS that lives in an old computer case. I was hoping for good efficiency since I don't want my power bill to be ridiculous since the on time for this NAS will be almost 24/7 I'm thinking. Also another wish I would like would be the PSU to have a fanless mode since I don't expect there be much load on the computer. For heat dissipation I'll probably be leaning on some NF-A12s from Noctua to cool the machine. I saw the Cooler Master V550 GOLD V2 which looked nice but was wondering what else is out there!

So is there a significant reason why most high end streamers would tend to either an 2700x or a 8800k or equivalent for their dedicated stream PC? What am I missing here? -

Ah I should make it clear, I would have an external capture card taking the output from my main PC. That's why I need two PCI slots. Also would the 2400g scale to 1080p streaming?(Probably not needed)
