  1. So then how is it that on Amazon you can buy a 1050ti for $125USD ($180.66NZD) and I have to pay at the cheapest $263NZD ($181.97USD). That like, what, $55ish price difference? And as for the salary - lets just say I'm not on the average. Fresh out of school and studying network engineering - I only work 2 days a week. I didn't do my research here but were all your figures in one currency(USD or NZD) or if they were where you sure to convert them because if you didn't then you need to take into account that 1NZD=0.69USD so saying NZ peeps earn more isn't strictly true.
  2. Well, thanks for your input. I should probably explain my plan: Currently I am running a gtx 260, amd fx-6300 BE and 16GB ram plus an 'OK' mobo. The idea is to replace the GPU so as to make this thing semi-decent - once this is done I plan to begin this project PC and make something great I can swap to. So yeah, a 1050ti aint the best card around and after this little enlightenment everyone has given I suppose I need to widen my budget, man up and go for a 1070. Thanks for the suggestions PS I really wanna do the loop because of that extra flare!
  3. Lets put it this way: I live in New Zealand. This means that everything tech is damn expensive. A 1050ti is a decent card that will do what I need for about $200.00 USD ($286ish NZD). I wanna make a PC that can handle games and looks great - hence the full loop. I simply can't afford more expensive cards because they are just so expensive.
  4. Hey guys. So I'm looking to get a gtx 1050ti for a project build that will have a full liquid cooling loop. But. I cannot find water block for it... can someone please point me in the right direction?
  5. Ok so I have tried ALL the driver version and no luck. I have well and truly run out of ideas. Anyone know what to do?
  6. OK so as an update: both cards are running at 8x and bridges are fine as are the slots for them. Anyone else with any info or solutions/ideas?
  7. Yes I would assume so but hey, cost me $100 NZD for both of them and I'm trying to get by on a hard-out budget. Graphics cards are expensive over here in New Zealand - all components are. I'm just waiting for the next awesome deal to come along.
  8. Nooooo... I have 2 cards... what made you think I had three? the mobo doesn't even have 3 pcie slots. I would assume they are running at 8x - how can I check to be sure?
  9. I am using the second SLI slots on the cards, I don't think that using the other one would make much of a difference... would it?
  10. I do have another bridge and that was the one that I tried first - am using a new one just because it looks nicer.
  11. Lol, yes I know... 260's... yeah. But they are both running at 8x
