The PNY website doesn't have a bios update for the card. I've tried the most recent bios for my motherboard and I've also tried older bios revisions as well.
-
I have verified that the pci-e extra power cables are fully seated. I have the pci-e set as the default video card in the bios. I've tried using a DVI cable from the card to both monitors. I've tried moving the 970 to a different slot in the motherboard and I don't get any video output.
-
I've been testing with only 1 monitor hooked up. I've My card has 3 mini dsiplay connections, an HDMI port, and a DVI port. I've tried Mini Display to Display cables and adapters, Mini DVI to HDMI adapters, DVI cables, and HDMI cables.

I'm flustered and need some help. specs: CPU: Intel - Xeon E3-1230 v1 LGA 1155 CPU Cooler: Enermax - ETS-T40F-BK Motherboard: Asus - P8Z77-V LK ATX LGA1155 Memory: Kingston - HyperX Fury Blue 2 x 8GB DDR3-1866 Storage: SanDisk - SSD PLUS 240GB Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Green 3TB Video Card: PNY - GeForce GTX 970 4GB Case: Fractal Design - Define C with Window Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 650W 80+ Bronze Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit Monitor: Acer - G277HL bid 27.0" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor: Acer - XG270HU 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor My problem is I can't get video output. When I boot the system I can hear the windows login music and I can hear when I plug in/unplug USB devices. My audio is from the onboard audio.I've tested and verified the card to be working on 2 different computers, Z270 and H110. I even stress tested the card with FurMark for 30 minutes on those machines to make sure it was stable.I've done all the normal first steps like trying it with only 1 ram stick, unhooking all nonessential cables on the mobo, tried different pci-e slots, tested my video cables, tested the monitors, ran the latest mobo bios and rolled it back, etc. There's no bios updates for the card on PNY's website.I've tried a different power supply, Seasonic 650w Gold, and nothing changed.I verified the pci-e slot works on the Z77 mobo with a GTX 1070. I stressed tested it as well.I swapped the processor out to an i3-2120 and when I did that, I could boot into the bios and Windows when connected to the onboard gpu. I tried disabling the onboard video but I was greeted with a black screen. I could hear Windows log in the plugging/unplugging of USB devices. Here's the parts that are confusing meWhen I try the card in my other computers, I get a splash screen right away when I power the computer on that says "PNY GTX970 4GB" and some other stuff before the normal splash screen displays. I don't get that gpu splash screen on the Z77 build I'm trying to put together. As a hail mary, I put an AMD HD6450 in the pci-e slot below the 970, leaving the 970 in and hooked up. The bleeping thing boots up just fine now, including the video card splash screen, and runs without a hiccup. I don't have a video cable hooked to the HD6450.I decided to test this even further. I pulled out the HD6450 and put in an RX460 without the external power or a video cable connected. The 970 was still occupying the top slot with power connected. It boots into Windows and runs just fine. I get the same results if I use a GTX 1070 instead of the RX460.The 970 shows up in the device manager without any issues.I ran DDU to remove all the drivers and shut down the computer. I then pulled the HD6450 but that puts me back at square one. Sorry if I'm all over the place. The damn thing works, but not like how it's supposed to. I see no reason why it I can't get it to work without the additional video card.I feel like I've tested all the stuff within my capabilities, but there might be something simple I'm missing.Anyone have any ideas?

I'm currently running an i5-7400 and a PNY GTX 970 in a Thermaltake Core V21. I have a Swiftech H140X cooler and I ordered a GPU block for the 970. I don't plan on overclocking the 970, I'm just tired of the reference blower card sound. Can I get away with adding a 120mm or 140mm radiator or should I go with a 240mm or 280mm?

i'm looking for an all black or all white 1151 cpu cooler for around $50. I have a Phanteks Enthoo Pro case so height isn't an issue. So far I've found the Enermax ETS-T40 Fit but nothing else.

I just bought a Varmillo VA12M switch tester but it didn't come with caps. Is it okay to use cheap caps for testing to see which switch I like? I found a clear set of 9 for $7. I figured for the extra 3 needed I could swap the caps around. Thanks in advance

I would have rather listened to Dennis recite Shakespeare than watch that stream again.

Ok, thank you. I planned on using deionized water with a dye and a biodcide.

Would this work for a biocide with brass and nickel? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008EGYJ54/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

with the nozzles in each reservoir, would it really be needed?
-
Thanks again for all the help. I have another question. I don't remember if it came from the stand alone reservoir or pump top reservoir, but I have a fitting called an anti cyclone adapter. Do I need this fitting, and if so where would I put it? Here's the fitting http://www.performance-pcs.com/bitspower-g1-4-anti-cyclone-adapter-black-matte-finish.html

If I was going to use nickel, what would I have to use? The only gpu blocks I can find are nickel. I'd have brass, copper, and nickel in the loop.

Have they said if these will be ROG certified? I noticed in corsairs k95 video they were using a ROG monitor

Thanks for the help, it's very much appreciated. Noise isn't an issue with me, I sit 10ft away from my computer and I have other loud things in the room that will drown out the sound. So would these work for compression fittings? Bitspower G1/4" Deluxe White Compression Fitting CC5 For ID 1/2" OD 3/4" Tube - V3 When I ordered, I made sure I didn't use anything nickel. I ordered the PT nuke you recommended, will it still be ok to use?
