  1. nono i'm talking about an SSD connected via SATA III
  2. Hey Guys, Is it possible to take my current tower boot Drive (an SSD) out of my PC and install it in my old Laptop (also has a 2,5" drive) just to test how much it would boost up my laptop? after testing i want to put it back into my tower, is all that possible without Dataloss or reinstalling anything? Thanks for answering
  3. Is there any advantage in not to limiting the fps to the max. Monitor refresh rate? (in my case 60 fps)
  4. I personally chose the 1060. I feel like the 480 is hands down just not performing as well. Yeah sure there is DX12 and Vulkan but you dont know for sure when and if these technologies will be implemented in newer games. For now the 1060 simply performs better. I think the 1060 SSC wont be much better than the 1060 Gaming X and it seems like you made a great deal. I would stick with the 1060 gaming X...
  5. alright thanks, if a 390x stays cool a 1060 should probably too I wish I had such a nice cooler
  6. Could you tell me what case you have? thx
  7. Hello guys, Im plan on buying the gtx 1060, I have an Fractal Define Nano S, which you can see on the following picture: As you can see there is not much space between PSU an the GPU, to help with GPU airflow I installed an extra 140mm fan in the front. These cards are the ones i consider right now: Palit gtx 1060 dual: it has two fans so one fan will get proper airflow Asus gtx 1060 turbo: blower style card which wont have any interferance with the PSU, probably has worse overall cooling performance though Which one will be cooler? Which one will be more quiet? Will the PSU even impact the airflow that much? And what would you recommend? Thanks for all your Answers, i appreciate your help
  8. Alright Guys here is the Deal: I decided on getting a GTX 1060 for my 60hz 1080p System but i simply can't decide which one i should get... Here Are the 2 possible choises: Palit GTX 1060 Dual: basic custom Design, two Fans, no backplate, starting at 280€ Inno3D GeForce GTX 1060 iChill X3, OCed, Backplate, three Coolers, starting at 310€ I would love to have a backplate but i could also get an extra 8gb Ram Stick for the price difference Also the gtx 1060 doesnt seem to get very hot in the first place so will the Performance even be affected by better cooling? Hope you guys can help me with the decision

    TDP of the Pure Rock

so that means the 212 evo has more Headroom when overclocking while the BeQuiet Pure Rock will perform better at stock.. right?
  10. So I decided to get the BeQuiet! Pure Rock for my future build because it beats the 212 Evo an others in many Benchmarks (and looks good while doing it) HOWEVER.... I noticed that the TDP BeQuiet states on their Website is 130w TDP while the TDP of the Hyper 212 evo is 180w is there any explanation for this? I'm really confused... Also: Shoud i get extra thermal Paste for the Pure Rock? it only has pre applied paste and Arctic MX-2 would only cost ~3€
  11. So im torn between the Evolv ITX and the Fractal Denfine Nano S, im defenitly planning on getting an extra fan to help aircooling The Evolv ITX: - slightly more space between PSU and GPU + a metal plate between the two - comes with one 200mm Fan for the Front The Define Nano S - comes With a 140mm front and a 120mm rearfan - space for another 120mm fan at the bottom Which Setup will perform cooler?
  12. Im currently searching for a Case for an mITX build and these are my two Favorites: 1. Evolv ITX + looks really nice and clean inside, hidden psu cables + physically smaller - only ITX support 2. Corsair 350D + mATX support -> more versatile - really dont like the top grill and i will probably will a cover for it Which one would you choose and why?
  13. Alright so im planing to get a new PC in a few weeks. I decided to go for an mITX build which obviously means i can only install 2 RAM sticks max. Im trying to build as futureproof as i can while staying on budget (which is about 900€) so I planned on getting ONE 8GB DDR4 stick an getting another one when I need it. HOWEVER i heard that one stick of 8GB perform worse than two 4gb sticks... so the question will this difference even be noticable and is it really worth it getting a 2x4GB kit, sacrificing the ability to just add another RAM stick?
