  1. Yeah, I plan to overclock, but that board is an expensive option indeed... anything cheaper under 200 usd?

  4. Hello, I'm planning on building a new PC, but can't decide between the i7-6700k or 7700k. Both chips are at the same price (the 7700k even slightly cheaper) and I have to ask, is there a trick? I've read that is not worth the upgrade, but if I'm gonna start from 0, is it better to buy the 7700k instead the 6700k? The Pc is mainly for gaming. Help please and I'll appreciate any advice for an appropiate motherboard for each CPU. Thanks a lot.

  7. Thanks a lot for your comment. I just want to play most of the games with 60+ FPS on ultra settings. I just saw some posts saying the differences between i5 and i7 were about 2-5 FPS... If that is the case I will invest in the i5-6600k and probably OC it. I'd save considerable amount of money,
  8. It's a similar price but not really a improve for gaming... so I dont see the point on invest in a 7700k. About the MB I haven't really search about a Z270.
  9. I really can't decide if I should get a i5-6600k or i7-6700k CPU for my new building, First I have the concern if the i5 will get obsolete for future games sooner that I think and maybe it will bottleneck the gtx 1070 I'm planning to get. I don't have the budget right now to afford the i7 but I can wait about 2 months and get it. Is it worth to wait and to invest on the i7 for a pc that will be mainly for gaming? Full build: case: corsair spec alpha. CPU: i5-6600k or i7-6700k cooling: CM hyper 212x RAM: 16 GB corsair vengeance LPX. GPU: GTX GeForce 1070 Gigabyte G1 Gaming MB: Gigabyte z170x gaming 6 PSU: EVGA 750 80+ bronce semimodular. HDD: 1 Tb WD 7200 rpm SDD: 240 Gb samsung 850 evo If you have any other comments about the other components (compatibility or just some advices) i'll appreciate them. Thanks for your comments.
  10. I live in Colombia. About 200 usd of budget. Don't know much about which features I would need. I believe standar things.
  11. I'm planning to build a new pc mainly for gaming with a i7-6700k processor and a gtx 1070 graphics card (probably EVGA or gigabyte) but I know nothing about motherboards or their pros and cons. People recommend me a z170 model but I came here for suggestions about brands and references. Not planning on doing SLI but i do care about OC. take on count I don't have infinite budget, so the MB has to be at a good cost (not that high, not that low). I appreciate your comments. Thanks.
  12. Is that bad the HyperX brand? The thing is that the place where I'm buying this stuff only has HyperX and toshiba brands for SSD
  13. Thanks a lot for your suggestions guys, i really appreciate them. I'm gonna consider getting the K version based on what your just said. Any other advice apart from the processor?
  14. I've never done OC and I'm really afraid about damaging the PC, that's why i thought the K version wouldn't be necessary. I could get the K version but I don't know if it's worth since probably I won't do OC. Should I get it anyways?

  16. So, I want to build my PC for the very first time and I'm nervous about messing it up. I have a limited selection of components because in my country there are no many options and bringing them from USA is neither an option. Here is the set: Case: Corsair Spec Alpha. CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 3,4 GHz (non-k version) Cooling system: Cooler master Hyper 212X RAM: HyperX 2-8Gb (16Gb) 2133 MHz GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Motherboard: Gigabyte z170X gaming 6 PSU: EVGA supernova 650W G2 80+Gold HDD: Toshiba 1TB SSD: HyperX 240Gb Please let me know your comments and tell me if there is something not compatible in the build. I also would like to know advices for any new component that I should be buying instead of the ones I mentioned. I appreaciate a lot your help and any suggestion. Thank you!
  17. It's mainly for gaming. I'm planning to buy a MSI gtx geforce 1070 gaming X 8 Gb

  19. I'm new on building a PC. I'm planning on buying a i7-6700 non K version. I read some reviews about the asus z170 pro gaming MB, but I'm not totally convienced because of some users saying it was aweful.... Plus I want cosair vengeance 2x8 Gb of RAM and I've heard the asus MB has some troubles with that particular brand of memory. I just came here guys for some recommendations of what MB should I buy. I'm not planning to do OC and I have a budget around $150. I want to know maybe what brand is better and the refference. Same with the memories (planning about cosair vengeance but if you suggest any other better I'll be glad to read that). Thanks for your help!
  20. Was wondering about quality of the cheaper board. I want to save but I don't want to get a useless product. That's why i opened this topic.
  21. The problems for me is the money. I don't have enough budget for my build and since I'm not really interested on OC i'll take that as a saving... Thanks anyway for your opinion!
  22. I don't want to overclock my RAM, they are just different products. One at 3000MHz and other at 2133MHz. Depending on which board I decide to buy i'll buy the RAM
  23. I'm planning on start a pc build, mainly for gaming. I dont want to overclock so I decided to go with the i7-6700 non k version. For the MB I was thinking on the asus Z170 pro gaming with 16Gbs of memory at 3000MHz, but I read that if you are not going to OC, it was better to go with the H170 series, but the speed for the ram on this series is limited to 2133MHz. I don't have any compatibility issue with both options about the CPU or something, but I would like to get some help about this change I'm planning to do. The H170 is $25 usd cheaper than the Z170. The RAM keep the price at both speeds. Is it worth? Is the H170 series a good board? Thanks for your help!
