  1. Tbh I wouldn't mind something like this.. but not for ~$180. I'd really only want it for having a push to talk I could always have in one place since some games I have to change where I have it in favor of having more useful bind in other places. Or for having 3 extra easy to press buttons in a game like Tarkov that has way too many binds that need to be quick to access. The real kicker is for the price you don't even get an analog input option on the primary pedal so you can use it for acceleration in a racing game.
  2. Well I originally had windows installed on my SSD, but after the clean install I had to do. In order to not wipe my data I had to install in on my brand new NVMe drive. I would assume that would rule out the drive as the issue since this has happened on multiple drives.. I am not sure how I would go about checking my other components.
  3. So I have had my PC for about 2-3 years and I've always had Windows 10 Pro installed, but in the past 6 months or so I've had to do a PC reset 4 times and a clean install of Windows once. I just got done resetting my pc again for the 2nd time in just over a week. I'm really tired of it and I don't know what could possibly be so wrong. For the most part almost every time I get a windows update this happens. It won't boot so I turn it on and off a few times until I get to the trouble shooting screen. I attempt a startup repair and it fails almost instantly.. I have tried to the new feature to rollback windows to a previous version and that also fails instantly. Then I am left with no choice but to reset the PC. Is there anything I can do to figure out what is going on? The best solution I have had in the past was to just pause all windows updates for as long as possible, but I can only do that for so long. This also happened recently when I tried to install VoiceMod and it asked me to restart my pc. Thanks in advance!
  4. Turns out I am wrong again.. It has something to do with my 2nd and 3rd monitor (my tv) being mirrored) if I change it so that both displays extend my primary display... it all works as it should.. Really weird.. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
  5. I actually just retested and noticed that its not my other monitor that's messing it up, its my TV. I didn't think that would make a difference since both my second monitor and Tv are both 60hz, 1080p and mirrored. Not as big of an issue, but I do use my TV quite alot so it would be hassle disabling it. And as for your issue.. that is all sorts of WTF..
  6. Welp just tried that and lo and behold that is the issue.. Well now I just gotta see if there is a way around it.. I really don't want to need to turn off my other monitor every time I want to play. Thanks tho!
  7. Doesn't seem to have been the issue. Apparently Microsoft removed the ability to disable gaming mode and the only way to remove it was to add something to the registry, did that and it didn't seem to do anything.
  8. Yes I do, One is a 1440p 144hz, and the other is a 1080p 60hz.
  9. I pretty much have, Prefer Maximum performance, vsync to off and prefered refresh rate to highest available. And not I do not use G-Sync.
  10. So my issue is kinda odd and hard to find to many other people that have the same issue. Most games like Fortnight, Overwatch and Call of Duty seem to lock my fps at a specific fps.. Fortnight locks it at 120 and Overwatch locks it at 60. If i set the fps limit lower then that it will lock it correctly, but if I set it higher it still only goes up to that fps. Oddly this issue only happends in Fullscreen or Borderless Windowed mode and goes away when I switch to windowed mode. It seems like it should be the other way around and I am not sure what is causing it.. I have ensured that in all game settings and in Nvidia Control panel settings v-sync is set to off. I am using Windows 10 and I have a GTX 1080 if that is at all relevant. Currently I have been using a workaround by using a software called "Windowed borderless gaming" Which allows me to run the game in windowed mode, but make it look like its in borderless windowed mode. While it works well, it would be nice to not need to use a 3rd party software for most every game. Any insight would be appreciated Edit: So it seems the issue is because I have a second monitor that is 60hz. Any way I can fix this so I don't need to disable my monitor to use fullscreen?
  11. True, I forgot about that. I know for a fact there is no sales tax from newegg where he lives so that should solve the issue.
  12. Thats a bit out of his price range so, but thanks for the suggestion.
  13. Thanks, I am going to talk to him and let him know. that he might need to find a way to come up with the extra $. I'd want him to a get a 1060 if he can because it typically out preforms the the RX480.
  14. I am trying to help a friend out with choosing the best parts for his PC. He is getting $700 to use towards a PC and currently this PC Part Picker list seems to be what I would say is good for him. Only issue is the price is 697 and that before shipping and tax. Is there any suggestion as to what can be changed or downgraded? I assume he would need about $60-$70 to account for shipping and tax. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/rJgwgL PC will be used for gaming at 1080p and he is looking to get a stable 60fps or higher on max or decent setting on most games. I had originally had a Intel i3 6100 but it seems that processor will bottleneck the 1060's performance. Downgrading the GPU seems to not be a valid options as even a 970 is the same price if not more. AMD might be an option, but I have little knowledge of that. I was thinking the RX 480 but I am not sure which would be a good one to go with. Thanks!
