  1. I play a lot of indie games that don't really have any sort of SLI support but I heard that NVlink basically pools your GPU's resources. Does the game developer need to explicitly program multi-GPU support for older games to run on systems with multiple GPU's connected over NVLink? Would this be something only available in DirectX 12 games or could it theoretically work in OpenGL games?
  2. Ordered an i9-9900X and got a Xeon W3520 inside of an i9-9900X box. It was still sealed whenever I received it and I damn near almost put it in the socket. My work is building 4 identical workstations and this actually sets us back quite a bit. Yes, I've tried reaching out to B&H. Yes, we should have ordered Ryzen to begin with. I would expect this shit when ordering from Wish or Ebay, but a respected retailer like B&H? Sad really. Mainly posting this to spread awareness and see if this has happened to anybody else.
  3. Why is this unlisted?
  4. Necrobump: I bought an ASUS Prime Z270-A off Ebay for $70 and it appears to have fixed it. Even if the issue persists this motherboard has loads more features and gets through the POST process twice as fast so the crashing will be much more bearable.
  5. I recall plugging my computer into a Kill-A-Watt and seing a power draw of around 500W when using both GPU's. My PSU is only 2 years old and I haven't been pushing it that hard. I think it's either the CPU or motherboard but I'm hoping somebody that's experienced this before can share what they think the cause is.
  6. 3 months ago I upgraded my GTX 970 to 2x GTX 1080 Ti's in SLI and since then it has started hard-locking. Basically whenever I'm playing games, even light-workload games like Blockland, my computer will completely freeze. The pictures on all 3 of my screens freeze, keyboard and mouse do nothing, and in my headseat I'll usually hear some ungodly buzzing sound. It will stay like this forever I hard reset it and will not show a blue screen. In the Windows event viewer there is no sign of an error at all. Things I have tried: Undid my overclock from 4.4ghz to 4.0ghz Went from SLI 1080 Ti's to single 1080 Ti's Tried other 1080 Ti Tried GPU in just the second PCIe slot Tried other GPU in just second PCIe slot Disabled my integrated graphics System Specs: EVGA SuperNOVA 650W P2 Asrock Z170 Extreme4 Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00 Ghz (cooled by Coorsair H110i) SAMSUNG SM951 M.2 2280 128GB boot drive PNY GTX 1080 Ti blower style Memory 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400 OS is Windows 10 64bit Motherboard drivers and firmware are up to date

  8. Ordered a Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 from India and they sent me an Eluga Ray 550
  9. My current phone is an Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini which I've had for close to 4 years now and for the most part has been the perfect phone for me. I'm looking for a replacement mainly because I think it's days are numbered and it's been getting a little slower each day. Requirements are as follows: Small size: I'm on my feet for most of the day but still use my phone pretty often and don't want a 6" tablet in my pocket all day, I also want something that can be operated with 1 hand pretty easily while I'm working with the other hand. Bummer that the S5 was the last phone Samsung made a 'mini' variant of. Looking for a screen 5" or smaller. Fast but not too powerful: My biggest complaint with my S5 mini is opening pretty much any application requires me to wait 8 seconds, and touching anything inside those apps requires me to wait an additional 3 seconds for everything I do. I've heard Samsung's TouchWiz might be the cause but it may just be outdated hardware. Pretty much all I use my phone for is talk, text, email, maps, web, streaming services, calendar, etc and don't do too much multitasking. I'd rather trade some processing power for some more battery life. 1080p or 720p preferably OLED: I love the look of Samsung's OLED screens and would like to keep that for when I'm watching videos on the go, I'd also like to keep the resolution under 1440p because of the longer battery life and at 720p I can't really see the pixels on my smaller screen. Headphone jack and removable storage: So I guess these are both things that phones are no longer doing for some odd reason Durable: In the 4 years I've had my S5 Mini I have never used a case with it and have never cracked the screen even though I've dropped it a hundred times. This also goes in hand with the smaller size as a case adds extra bulk.
  10. Mismatched SLI Bridges I have 1080 Ti's in SLI and instead of getting a fancy HB bridge I just grabbed the rigid Asrock bridge that came with my motherboard and the flexible Asus ROG bridge that came with my brother's board to make my own frankenstein HB bridge.
  11. I recently bought a last gen Titan X Maxwell on ebay want to get a few more FPS while decreasing the noise of the reference blower. My case is a Dukase V2 which has 280mm top rad support which is currently being used by the CPU AiO. There is room at the front and the rear for a 120mm. Would it be possible to get a 120mm all in one liquid cooler for my Titan X for around $200 (preferably full coverage)? Would the small radiator size be worth it? I'd like to stick to AiO or pre-filled loop because I'm not all that savvy with custom loops.
