  1. Hi, I am trying to put together a part list. But I am a bit confused with how RAM specs affect performance or if it has just a negligible effect for your average gamer. What RAM specs should I prioritise when choosing? (I don't understand what first word latency and CAS latency are, How important are they?) What spec would be considered mid-range? And what price range should this be? Any recommendations? I am aiming to create a mid-range build for gaming using the AM5 platform. Here is my rough part list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/T9bcsL I am aware of the low ram clearance for the cooler, this will probably change. If there are any obvious issues please let me know. Cheers

  3. Have a look at "Anno 2205" you can eventually colonise the moon but it is quite complicated. Another game to look at is Rimworld, not the best graphics but worth a look.
  4. You are not getting enough airflow into or out of the case, causing hot air produced by the CPU and GPU to stay inside.
  5. Never preorder anything!! We still don't have enough information about it (I think...) And it will be a lot cheaper a few months it comes out
  6. It really depends whether they work and for what Ipad they are for. From the looks of it, they all look like they have been exposed to water or just lots of mud or dirt so most of it will be useless. If you are going to bin it make sure you look for a tech recycling plant, they might give you some money for the scrap you give them.
  7. Wait until windows fix its-self. If that doesn't work show us what the error is.
  8. Hi, I was looking for a good headset to upgrade to from my Siberia 200s to a wireless headset, I was looking at reviews and specs until I found that some of the specs appeared to be better on the Siberia than on the Arctis. Here is the site I used: https://versus.com/en/steelseries-arctis-7-vs-steelseries-siberia-200 Does this have any noticeable effect on audio quality (the max and min frequency)? I am not an audiophile so I do not know what to look for. Any other wireless headsets under £150 you would recommend?
  9. Haven't cleaned my laptop in about 4 years. CPU is at 98C so it definitely needs a clean but I need to open it up and I have never done that before. Any tips?
  10. Try another device and see if it shuts off. If it does we know that it is the monitor's fault but if it doesn't then it could be your GPU. Does this mean it flickers on and off?
  11. Do you hear anything when it shuts off like a snapping sound? How old is your system and monitors?
  12. could be something to do with your GPU how long have you had it? It could be starting to fail.
  13. It is most likely a grounding problem, fix it by getting an extension cord with 3 prongs and putting it into a wall plug with 3 prongs. If you shock a critical component there is a low risk that you will break it but there is some risk.
  14. Is this for gaming, workstation, productivity?
