  1. I figured it out already, thanks
  2. I don't have the cards yet, I want to order it all together hence why I'm asking
  3. Hi There, Just wondering which SLI bridge I need? I want to use 2 EVGA GTX 1080 FTW 2's on an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura board.. Here is EVGA's product page with their SLI bridges: http://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=14 They come in 0, 1, and 2 slot spacing. Also which one is better, the HD or the PRO one? Thanks!
  4. Just ordered my Planck from Massdrop, getting 2 actually! First one has; a black case, MX compatible plate, Cherry MX Blue switches, and mixed XDA PBT blanks (beige alphas and black mods), and the 2nd one has; a silver case, MX compatible plate, Zealios 65g switches, and XDA PBT blanks. Super excited to make my Planks! Too bad the waits on Massdrop are months long.. there's still 11 more days to join the drop PLUS a 3-month wait after the drop ends! Estimated ship date isn't until June 26th Oh well still excited to retire this old pos Corsair k70 LUX (cherry mx browns)! I've been waiting for a Redscarf RevB or RevC and a Whitefox drop forever now.. I missed out on the last Redscarf because I was away from home.. I would pick up either in an instant even after ordering my Plancks. i really wanted to go from a full-size to a 65% then to a 40%/ortholinear.. But oh well, jumping with 2 feet in I suppose! Can't wait!
  5. He's right in that only Downtown or near Downtown get 1gbs fibre, at least where we live in Vancouver. He's also right that they prioritize busy areas, luckily I live near DT and I live in an apartment which were done before houses. I know from a family member who is high up in Telus that their company prioritized DT first for all the businesses, then apartment-land areas like the outer edges of DT and the neighbourhoods between Broadway and King Ed across the entire city, and the Universities. It costs tons to bring fibre in, so why wouldn't they prioritize areas where they can make the most money because there are the most customers? Makes sense to me. Also makes sense that they cap it at 150/150 because all the mainstream ISPs all cap it at the same so they don't have much competition.. that and if that's the lowest number they can get in some areas they probably want to keep the speeds the same for everyone so nobody complains about paying the same price for slower internet. 150/150 isn't bad, it's 3 times faster than what I had before.. Just not exactly as fast as I thought I'd be getting with fibre coming to all the larger ISPs
  6. was asking Enderman since he seemed to know because he lives in my city and said there are areas downtown that he knows have 1gb. Hence why I quoted him to direct it to him
  7. which ISPs provide 1gbps here? Everyone seems to cap it at 150
  8. Hmm.. that sucks. I mean I live in an apartment and there are tons around this area of Vancouver. They do advertise it as only 150d/150u... do you think they cap it to keep it like that so everyone gets the same speeds? They call the internet "150/150 on Telus Pure Fibre Network". I mean 150/150 is all they promise, I just thought the speeds would be better than that compared to the speeds I've heard other people have in the states. Looking at the Topic where people post their internet speeds though makes me feel less bad about having 150/150
  9. Awesome thanks man for the feedback! I imagine it'll be much better than the Phanteks ones I have now. Also with putting the Aer fans in instead of the white ML Pros, there won't be pure white lights to compare it to which throws it off more and shows how not white the led strip lights really are. Great thanks for the info! Will definitely look into matching it well once they're all installed!
  10. Hi All, Just a couple questions about my internet/ISP... I've been seeing that a lot of people get up to 1GB on fibre connections?? How come in Vancouver, Canada the fastest I can get is 150mbps down and 175mbps up? That is Telus' best internet which is supposed to be fibre... It's called Pure Fibre and they say its 100% fibre while other companies use a mix of fibre and traditional cabling... If theirs is 100% pure why is it so slow comapred to other peoples'? I mean, the best internet before fibre from them was 50d/50u so it's a big improvement at 3 times the speeds. But I was super stoked to get fibre here thinking it'd be like 10-20 times the speeds of what I had before. I know this is a first world complaint.. but just wondering why it's so bad here compared to other places? Any info is appreciated, thanks! ♥ Telus Pure Fibre Webpage: https://fibre.telus.com/vancouver/what-is-fibre/?INTCMP=Nav_Main_What_is_Telus_Fibre

As you can see, currently I'm using the Phanteks LED strips with my Evolv TG. However, I really hate them lol. The white on them is so blue!!! I mean, it's barely less blue than the light blue setting. I ask anyone who comes over to my place what colour the lights look and they all say "light blue". Also, there are only 10 colours. I'm not much for the super gaudy, gamer-styled, colourful PCs, I just want the lights to be white... I mean, I'm looking at RGB lights instead of just plain white light strips because I'd like the option to be able to change it in the future or whenever I'm in the mood if I desire to. Also, most of the larger companies that I am familiar with, don't have kits for just plain white. Or at least they don't as far as I know of... I may be just ill-informed on that though so don't quote me on that. If you know of any white led kits let me know! But anyways, back to the questions; basically, I'm wondering if the Hue+ will be any better with the white than the Phanteks LED strips? I figured I'd go with NZXTs Hue+ and Aer fans because I'm using a Kraken X62 and have to use CAM software anyways. So I figured I might as well have all the lighting settings in one place. Also for the Kraken, there are tons of different lighting modes and basically limitless colours to chose from. The 10 colours and 3 or 4 modes the Phanteks strips have are nothing compared to the options there are in the CAM lighting software. I also chose the Aer fans because I wanted to upgrade my plain white led ones from Corsair, and when I looked into Corsair's offerings with their RGB HD120mm fans, I didn't really like the way they looked because they were way too bright and I don't want the fans to be the center piece of the build... Also for some strange reason, Corsair doesn't offer a 140mm variant. Only drawback to the NZXT Hue+ and Aer fans is that the Hue+ is connected by a molex... gross! Anyways to summarize, I'm just looking for some people's experiences with the NZXT Hue+ and Aer fans; I'm wondering if the whites on them are better than what I'm used to? And if there are better options out there let me know, I can always put the Hue+ and Aer fans into my spare pc which is turning into my partner's pc. Any recomendations and/or feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks Guys/Gals! ♥ P.S. The lights in the photo look more white than they do in person.. In person you can see the major difference between the White Corsair fans and the LED strips around the case.
  12. I think I'll try 4 Noctua's in push pull because right now I have just 2 of the Noctua's pushing air into the rad from the front. I'd rather have better performance gains, and at this point I don't have enough intake power. I can't think of another configuration that would work though unfortunately... I can't really change the top 3 x 120mms into intake because hot air rises and I'd only have 1 exhaust fan then... I also can't top mount the Noctua's with the rad because it doesn't fit there. Hopefully changing the front intake with the rad into push/pull will help a bit. Thanks for your suggestions.
  13. Okay thanks for the info. Yea I'd rather have it top mounted but unfortunately that isn't an option. I had it planned for top mounting but the tubes are the longest I've ever seen on an aio! They're even long for being front mounted and they have to be bent around to fit and they just wouldn't fit at all when I tried to top mount.. Do you think that adding a 2nd pair of the Noctua's to make the intake push/pull would help with intake? I don't have a lot of options because I can't top mount.. or is there something else you would suggest?
  14. I said in the OP that performance is a higher priority but if I can get both I would. It's just an idea I was floating around and I was just correcting the statement that you wouldn't be able to see them because they would be behind the rad, which they aren't. They would be in front of the rad so you would be able to see them, just that there would just be an "X" frame in the way which is only a few mm's thick but doesn't really obstruct the view although it's less than ideal I know and I have since abandoned that idea.. Also, I'm a bit confused by your comment in regards to an H110? You've lost me there... Do you think push/pull with the Noctua's would be worth it? Just floating ideas around here. I think the air pressure in my case is negative because I only have the 2 x 140mm Noctua's pulling air into the case through the rad, then 3 x 120mms exhausting out the top and another 140mm exhausting out the back... Is there a better setup I could change it to here? I know positive or neutral air pressure is usually what you'd want so dust doesn't stay in the case or get sucked through any non-filtered opening... Unfortunately, I can't put the Kraken rad in the top because the tubes are too long... I've also heard that a front mounted radiator is better anyways when you have an open designed (non-blower/reference) style GPU so that the hot air isn't being sucked into the rad like it would be if it were top-mounted. I think it was Kyle from Bitwit who did some testing and made a video on it. With his testing, he had a 10C degree difference by just mounting the same rad in the front instead of the top when using an open design GPU. If you have a better fan set-up in mind let me know. I can purchase 2 more of those Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 PWM's if you think a push/pull config would help bring more air in? Also for my situation performance is a priority over looks, but if I can have both then great. So I already ordered some white corners to match the other Corsair fans in my case which also have white corner mounts. Good idea though!
