    I bought a used Dell Latitude Laptop form ebay and am happy with it, however the seller left out man motherboard mounting screws. can anyone tell me what size they should be? If I had to guess they look like M.2 drive size.

    Sorry I'm still a noob and learning the backside surveillance stuff, as well as networking. So the igpu wont have any impact then? I was able to mock it up and watch a youtube video from another network on our workstation via VLC for an hour with no problems aside from a 2.5 second lag.

    I just got my first please wait screen. Felt like 5 minutes. Right after the pickup truck wreck and before walking to the bridge. 16gb ram, 1tb SSD.

    If it uses an atx power supply you could throw an RX 570 and psu in it for rocket league.

    Working fine for me. 90+fps with ~80% cpu and gpu utilization. Ryzen 5600 and Rx 6800 XT. I think 1080p is the bottleck. System is working as hard as it has to to this low of resolution.

    Windows may not be activated, but it'll work just fine. You can buy a w10 key on eBay for $10.

    It's my understanding that the third connector is there to force people to run two separate cables rather than a single cord with two connectors. Running one cord might result in some voltage drop maybe?? May I ask what problems you were having with the Phantom Gaming? I just put the same card in my rig last night.

    I just installed an Asrock 6800 XT in my Ryzen 5600 system last night. Playing Cyberpunk i was running about 134FPS at 1080p with GPU and CPU both running 75-98%. They were alternating, but generally running about the same amount of utilization. No bottleneck from what I could tell.

    Well in this case it is my job, I'm that guy. At least one fan (Gamdias RGB) is dying and needs replaced. I recommended spending money on good fans and forgo the RGB BS.

    I was asked to look at a surveillance workstation for security at my job (I'm the surveillance tech). Its running hot and front fans are ramping up and down. I'm going to tear the front cover off, remove the fans, and clean the radiator of dust. Is there a software that I can install to manage the fans and cooler? The fans are plugged into a fan controller in the back of the case. I recommended they lose the AIO and go with a Hyper 212 for simplicity and reliability.

    Thank you. It seems Linux support for the 700 series is bitter than windows. They only list a security update for W10.

    I ordered a B550 mobo on amazon and canceled the order the next morning prior to shipping because i had overspent and it was an impulse buy. It arrived anyway at no charge and I kept it for this reason. I have been burned enough buying online that I believe getting a free mobo was karma or something. That said, I mainly buy from ebay for the better buyer protection.

    I'm soon to be getting my old Geforce GT 740 GB low pro back from my X-waifu. I have an Optiplex 7010 running Mint 21.1 with an i7-3470 and 16GB RAM running a minecraft server and Netflix, Hulu, etc. Are there any drivers for a card this old? Would this card be any better for streaming? I might like to plug a controller in and do some couch gaming if drivers arent an issue. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    I see that now. I guess Ill be putting the WIFI card on a riser cable, or Ill have my GF put her PC in the room with no LAN access. Thank you.

    I am running a GIGABYTE B550M DS3H Mobo with a Ryzen 5 5600 and Gigabyte RX 5700 in the top PCIe 4.0 slot. I need to install a WIFI card, but the lower slots (3.0 x1, and 3.0 x16) are covered. Would running the GPU in the 3.0 x16 slot be a real detriment? I'm also considering a riser cable to run plug in underneath the GPU and run down to the Lower mounting slots in the Case IO.

    16GB is the most I can do without buying 8GB sticks, but your answer convinced me not to go less than 16, thank you. As soon as the Optiplex comes it will be assembled with parts I have lying around.
