Some advice on Z790 for 13600K/DDR5 and the rest of my build?
Tic-Tac replied to Tic-Tac's topic in New Builds and Planning
Is this coil whine on Gigabyte motherboards that people mention a thing>? Are those VRM's that much superior on Gigabyte board vs ASRock for 13600K considering I will use LT720 or some other 360 AIO and possibly even undervolt it? -
Some advice on Z790 for 13600K/DDR5 and the rest of my build?

AFAIK ASRock provides a 3-year warranty for their motherboards. On the other hand, I just read about the coil whine issue on Gigabyte Z790 ones... Oh my... -
I have these as my options: ASRock Z790 PRO RS WIFI ASRock Z790 Sonic Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X AX Asus Z790 Prime-P WIFI And the rest of my build will be: CPU: Intel i5 13600K - already have GPU: MSI RTX4080 Gaming X Trio - already have NVME drive: Samsung 980Pro 2TB - already have RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 32GB 6400MHz CL32 CPU cooler: Deepcool LT720 Case: Montech Sky Two PSU: Some ATX3.0 850W?? Would appreciate some advice here because I already have some parts sitting on my desk and would like to finish with this build and never look back

Oh sorry all, I should've mentioned what I'm carrying from my last build. That's PSU and that Phanteks case.
-
Hmmm damn! Now I have to buy a PSU. Which one would you recommend? Are those Tier Lists still relevant?
-
Thanks! I guess I will stick with this ASRock Z790 since it's pretty cheap and it has all the things I need + it does not come with that Intel I225-v ethernet controller which is a good thing. GPU is already a done deal since I already acquired that one and I have a G-Sync display. Why are you recommending 850W PSU? Do you think 750W will not be enough to power this PC?
-
Hi all! I need some opinions regarding this build as I'm not sure if is it worth going with Z790 or Z690 MoBo... CPU: Intel 13600K CPU Cooler: Deepcool LT520 Motherboard: ASRock Z790 PRO RS Memory: G.Skill Trident Z5 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz CL32 DDR5 Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Video Card: MSI Gaming X Trio RTX4080 Case: Phanteks Evolv ATX TG Display: Asus ROG PG348Q Power Supply: Corsair RM750x
-
I would like to go with 4000 series for GPU and I'm afraid my CPU will be a bottleneck, that's why I'm considering CPU+MoBo upgrade as well.
-
Would like to finally make some upgrades in terms of CPU and Motherboard and I would like to see your opinions Below is my current setup and it's with 32GB of RAM, not 16GB as shown. Was thinking about 13600K and some good motherboard that can support DDR4 RAM as well. For GPU, I would go for RTX 4070 Ti for now.
-
Hmmm it's not only the fonts but the icons too. So strange.
-
The ugliest GPU designs in last 10 years if not more. Embarrassing to put it lightly.

Can some please explain this to me: I'm having the exact same problem as mentioned here on this reddit post (my unit is exactly like "mine" on this post) : https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/j0qg2n/can_someone_explain_this_to_me/ Although, there is no explanation there nor solution of any kind. It's exactly the same, I was comparing my PG348Q with my friend one and his looks somewhat sharper, picture looks "better". As if my unit looks a bit grainy or something... I don't know how to explain, very strange.

Just another excuse for unprecedented greed by the tech industry. Everything will pass, a pandemic will pass, bitcoin craziness will pass but they will forever be remembered as bunch of greedy bastards. That's it.

G.Skill TridentZ RGB not syncing?
Tic-Tac replied to Tic-Tac's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I'm using Aura software as well but they are not in sync, it's the latest version of that software. Can you share your setup in Aura? Maybe I'm doing something wrong here.
