  1. With noting that one monitor with matte display might have quite a bit different matte finish than another one do in some cases.
  2. 32" 4k do look much better than 32" 1440p, when it comes to 16:9 monitors. At least to my eyes. I have tried both in stores when I looked for a new monitor to get. Dont know if both are 27". Personally, 27" is the biggest I would go or recommend for 1440p 16:9 monitor.

  5. Being worse at developing and spending money on making a game than other developers does not make it a scam people.
  6. That above highly depend from game to game. Things like Texture quality usually affect your FPS very little unless the memory of your GPU becomes full. Things like Shadows and Ambient Occlusion affect the FPS much more. Draw distance have usually maybe an medium effect on FPS. If I had a 27" 1440p monitor I would personally lower other settings to play at 1440p if I had to, and not lower the resolution. I personally find myself trying to run games at 1800p or 80% at my 32" 4k monitor minimum. One thing I found in Metro Exodus, putting the monitor setting at 4k and render resolution at 80% looked better than just putting the monitor resolution at 1800p.
  7. I think the main goal of Nvidia with ARM is to boost it with their own developers and then deliver servers that is only ARM and Nvidia GPUs. Also, knowing Apple, their licensing agreement with ARM for patents and stuff is probably some sort of life long deal.
  8. No matter how you look at it, a game running 3440x1440 is easier to run than what 4K is.
  9. I wad not taking any fault, I was talking faults that can cause someone to die, or serious hurt. Also faults that can be blamed on company doing something wrong.
  10. Doesn't matter if it's low percentage, low percentage on a faults on a product that can actually hurt you very bad or even kill you is too much. At least here, for actual brands, there have been recalls of products after just one or two cases of starting a fire.
  11. This is not correct. x86-64 is owned by AMD and licenced to Intel and Via. While just x86 was created by Intel and licenced to AMD and Via and others, not sure if the patents on that have run out yet or not tho.
  12. Most don't need it. SATA ones never ever needs it. It's just some of the top of the top that might need it
  13. 27" is max size I would go on 1440p. For 32" it's for me 4k or don't bother.
  14. If that's a thing I am guessing it's more of a thing with pre built NASes like Qnap or Synology, and not with unRAID, not sure tho, haven't looked it to it, so might be wrong. Something like Qnap or Synology will use less power than an office PC or whatever as someone have said. My ITX mobo have 6 SATA ports just because I wanted future proof but as I use 8TB drives, based on what I have already used I won't be using all. ITX mobos with 6 SATA ports is rare tho I think, most just have 2 or 4. ITX case I use, Lian Li PC-Q25 can take 7 HDDs but it's discontinued now. It was when I got it too but now it seem to be out of stock too. Realized it wasn't the quietest case tho...
  15. There are things you can put in between the plug on the PC/NAS and the socket that measure power draw. I have a cheap one so I don't know how accurate it is, but it shouldn't be too far off the real value. Normal CPUs do change its clockspeed based on the load it's gets. Depending on what you go for you can choose to let the HDDs stop spinning when not in use for a while, and that will lower the electricity usage, but then if you try to access it when they are spin down it will take a few seconds for them to spin up. Also, fewer larger HDDs will use less power than more smaller ones, tho I don't have spesific numbers on it. I plugged my NAS in to it and it seems to use about 35-38w when I don't do anything special on it, but I have the HDDs to always be spinning. I dont actually know how motherboard form factor affect power usage, it probably does but I doubt it's huge difference, the real question is of it's noticeable, like is it 1w or is it 10w?, I dont know but some might have tested it. Mine is ITX just because I wanted my NAS to be physically smaller, I did not think of power. In the same CPU generation, a weaker CPU will ofc use less power at idle than a more powerful one. If you only do direct file access and not any transcoding of video for example you don't need a powerful CPU at all.
  16. Don't remember exact numbers, but my NAS that is a ITX mobo, G5400 CPU(not that powerful) and 2 8TB HDDs uses less than 50W on idle if I remember right. Don't remember exact numbers tho, I can check of you want. Also if 50w constant really becomes 100€ per year in electricity then your electricity cost is Def higher than what it is where I live.
  17. Just why? If anything, this will hurt their reputation for those that get one of them an then gets disappointed in its quality.
  18. So you want a 4k 144hz monitor? I haven't checked in a while but a good while ago they whey were more expensive than that.
  19. I dont have spesifics on that, but I think its probably more usage = more wear. But no PSU will last forever. And you cant guarantee that a cheap one will only last a few years and you cant guarantee that a good one will last for many, as anything. I cant give you spesifics but from I havent heard that often that a good PSU die, at least compared to cheaper ones or GPUs. I dont think they really die before you usually get new computer, mostly because they probably isnt used enough to do so in today age. And if they die I suspect the main reason is the mechanical parts.
  20. Its cheaper than USB C. This is supposed to be a cheaper phone.
  21. Only parts me and my brother have had die randomly, is GPU one each. My GPU was 5 ish years old while his was like little bit over 2 years, he got a new one because "right of complaint" or what it is in English. Have never had anything else die except for like an audio jack on the case, or a fan blade falling off because I physically put something in to it when it was running once. I think overall the most likely things to die, not in order is: (nothing scientific about it just what I hear around) GPUs HDDs Motherboards Cheaper PSUs (not good ones)
  22. Dirt on the screen? Some sort of liquid damage? not sure. How old is it, can you RMA?
