  1. Thank you for your suggestions IEM-s are not really an option, they always fall out of my ears and I wear the headphones for like 8 hours straight Are there any better options for headphones only, so without a mic? What I forgot to mention is, that it should have low latency, so not BT.
  2. thank you, yes, but its a bit too far out of my price range I checked a few sites and its about €400-450
  3. Hello! Could you please recommend me a good wireless headset? I just purchased the Asus ROG Fusion II 500 - which is cabled and I don't like it and I will return it. I would like to provide information that was asked for in other threads: I am from Europe (Austria), my budget is around €200 - €300. It shouldn't be from Logitech or Corsair, since I don't really want to install their software. I don't really care if they are open or closed back. No allergies/sensitivities or ears that overheat. Would be great if there is an "internal" microphone (no flex cable/wire in front of mouth). I sit at my PC and wear my headset for about 8 hours a day and on the weekends it can be like 16 hours My last headset was the Asus ROG Delta S wireless, it sounded okay but after the last update it broke and it was like a tin can... and also the dongle broke... It also has to have low latency, so no BT. Thank you in advance!
  4. It fixed it ! it was G-Syncing every application and for the new (ugly) Outlook and FreeCAD it "crashed" the screen so it went black for a couple seconds. I tried 3 cables already! Now I have it on 120Hz instead of 138 Hz (it actually says that G-Sync only works to 120Hz in some 'hidden' manual), and no more problems! Already canceled the Alienware monitor since I also really love the PG42UQ
  5. Thank you all so much for your replies! I just found a 'maybe fix' for the Asus PG42UQ, it's flickering with some applications and I thought it's a defective DisplayPort port... Now that I read more and more, it sounds like I have the monitor in OC mode (138Hz) and G-Sync only works up to 120Hz, which could explain the flickering for certain applications... I will test it when I get home from work, but I also ordered the Alienware 34 inch (AW3423DWF) to see if I like it more Thanks again!
  6. Hello! I guess this gets asked a lot, but I can't find a good answer... Currently I have the Asus PG42UQ, which has a defective DisplayPort and the buttons don't work properly as well... I am also not a fan of OLED-burn in and that I have to do a pixel cleaning if I use the monitor for over 6 hours or so... Also I miss my Ultra Wide but I like the bigger picture of the 42" Screen... What monitor would be the "best" to get for gaming? Budget should be under 2k € and my PC can run all resolutions easily I guess (13900KF, Strix 4090 and custom watercooling) Thank you in advance!
  7. I just ran Speed Way 2 times and got a score of about 10 000 I set it to the standard OC-Mode in GPU Tweak 3 as well. I think you have to adjust the voltage and maybe the curve as well, if you want to make use of the higher power target though. (I hit max 90% power target) Seems like your card is slightly underperforming yeah, did you maybe bump the "Q Mode" switch on the card itself so it uses the "quiet bios"?
  8. Hello, wow we have nearly the same Specs I have the 13900KF, Asus Thor PSU (with a direct power cable from PSU to GPU) and Z790-F board. But also the Strix 4090 OC, 64GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and 2 x 990 Pro in RAID0. Do you run Windows 10? I read today that it may limit performance of the "newest Hardware". But I haven't had time to look into it yet. I will run the Speed Way benchmark when I get home, to compare
  9. Thanks, Server will be running 24/7 and is in use every business day. And yes, we have daily HDD backups and monthly offsite backup Thank you! Yeah then we will definitely go SSD
  10. Hello! I see many servers using HDDs for storage, what would be the drawback of using SSDs? Googling only brought up maybe price as a drawback, but for our application this is negligible. We are planning on a new Server for our small company in the near future. Currently we use only about 800GB on our entire Server (some Shares + CRM program + 2 VMs) on 2 x 2TB HDDs in RAID1. Now couldn't we just get 2 x 4 TB SSDs (futureproofing) in RAID1 and be happy everything goes faster? Regarding the "limited" reads/writes, we could just switch them out after a few years if we see that they near their end. Thank you in advance!
  11. Okay good to know, thanks! Well I have 2 x 1TB drives and only want to have one "main" volume I could try and exchange it for 1 x 2TB I guess?
  12. Hello! I will be setting up my new PC soon and wanted to know, what would be the best slots to put my M.2 SSDs in? There are 4 Slots and I want to put 2 SSDs in RAID0 In run it like this now as well but just put them in random slots on my z690 board, the new one will be z790. Thanks in advance!
  13. Hello everybody! So my wife has the Logitech G910 Orion Spark, after 3 years or so the left arrow key and the "3" key (not numpad) stopped working. We said alright after 3 years, that's okay we buy a new one > we bought a G910 again > same problem! Is there some kind of problem with the Logitech software or Windows? I tried googling but so far found no current issues. Thanks in advance!
  14. Austria, but I can order from Germany as well. It doesn't have to be a lightweight and battery life should be average I guess ^^. What's with a Dell XPS 13 with: i5-10210U 8GB RAM 512GB M.2 SSD Would that be sufficient for her use case? Edit: https://geizhals.at/dell-xps-13-7390-2019-frost-xw1tw-a2132853.html like this one
  15. Budget is about 1500 Euro (+/- 200 Euro), I am buying in Europe ? The HDD is not necessary, a 512GB SSD will be sufficent! (was just my old thinking ?).
  16. Sorry, yeah: - open Budget, but still good "value" - 13" Laptop - 256 or 512GB SSD and an additional HDD with higher storage volume (like 1 or 2 TB). Thanks!
  17. Hello! So I want to find a new Home Setup for my sister. She mainly needs it for "Office" work (MS Word, Excel and so on) and occasionally she wants to play "Sims". This should be a "normal" Laptop (no 2in1 or touch) and some kind of docking station with 2 monitors (23"). (Laptop itself has to be under the table) Now I am not very familiar with prebuilt systems, let alone Laptops. She would prefer Dell stuff, since she has good experience with that at work. What would be your suggestions regarding Laptops ?? Maybe also what would you recommend for Monitors (23")? Thank you in advance!
  18. Thank you all! Does it matter if the OS (Windows Server 2012 R2) is still on the Raid1 HDD array? We have allocated 2 cores and 4GB of RAM per VM! With over-provisioned > you mean i.e. 4 cores per VM even though the Server only has 4 cores? We will most definately get the HP drive since we need to have the Warranty and stuff. RAM is not maxed out and they are not using "dynamic" RAM if that'S what you mean. Following a Picture of the Taskmanager inside one of the VMs while starting MS Word, which takes about 10 seconds (the average response time maxed out at about 400ms):
  19. Thanks that's what I thought too! Our "IT consultant" said SSDs would make no difference ???? We think about upgrading in the near future anyways but to add a SSD which can be transfered to a new machine anyways can't hurt.
  20. Hello! We have a small HP server (ProLiant ML310e Gen8) in our office which is running 2 VMs (besides some other stuff). Those VMs are very slow > the server only has - old HDDs (2 x 2 TB in Raid 1) - Xeon E3-1220 V2 - 24 GB RAM (1600 MHz ?) I upgraded one VM to Windows 10 some time ago, today I am upgrading the second VM from Win 7 to Win 10. If I start Word i.e. in Task Manager under the Performance tier I can see: CPU ~ 40% RAM not max Disk ! : pinned at 100% / average response time all over the place from 30ms to over 4 seconds Anyone know how to improve the performance? Would a SSD upgrade help? If you need more information, let me know. Thank you! Regards Thomas
  21. Hello! I currently have an OnePlus 6T and after a few months of "heavy use" it's time for me to change again ? A feature I wish I had back is an Always on Display or an indicator LED. The fingerprint reader has to be under the screen and there has to be a 256 GB or bigger version (or expandable storage). I don't need a headphone jack or even a "selfie cam"... but I don't care ^^ I don't really care about the price as well, but under € 1.000,00 would be nice though. What phone would you recommend that's NOT Samsung or a Pixel ? Thanks in advance ?
  22. Hey, thank you for your suggestions! I finally found an app that works with my personal outlook / Hotmail account! It's called "OneCalendar" and it does everything I want from a calendar app ?
