Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to addysmith97 in What cables do i need for a HDD?
Well, most newly power supplies have SATA power connectors, so you need a SATA cable which works well for HDD.

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to SkillfulNoob in Does ram speed really matter... over 3200MHz on 8th gen Intel?
On Ryzen the higher the speeds the better, but for Intel 8th Gen I don't think the gains are worth the price. But I haven't personally tried high refresh rate gaming with RAM speeds that high.

Wolf ~ IRONI got a reaction from J.b091 in What 1070 Ti do i get?
EVGA or MSI are basically the top tiers in nvidia gpus. Gigabyte is also good but some of their cards get loud under load

YOU GAINED 15 FPS?! fuck lifespan i guess im overclocking tommorow lol

Wolf ~ IRONI got a reaction from IdiotPenguin in What 1070 Ti do i get?
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Gaming 8G, EVGA GTX 1070 Ti 8GB SC Black Edition Gaming ACX 3.0 (or the FTW edition is better), Palit GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Super JetStream, Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 Ti AMP Edition. Are prob the best. But all gpus should be fine. Because they are high end. You can also look up a vid on youtube called ehat 1070ti to pick? He got a perfect comparison

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Streetguru in Stock GPU overheating
Your case doesn't have any airflow. Put the top fan to intake as well as the rear fan
Or take off the front panel and put your fans there.
Would have highly suggested a case with better airflow.

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to WereCatf in 8700K temps
That's the thing: small FTTs is a test that mostly fits inside the CPU-cache and heavily stresses AVX. A gaming-load is a completely different beast and won't heat up the CPU anywhere near as much.

Wolf ~ IRONI got a reaction from IdiotPenguin in 8700K temps
Seems like high temps to me with such a high end cooler. (Tell me if im wrong but i'd not feel safe)

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to WoodenMarker in Whst are the best cpu & case fans for my budged?
The stock case fans should be enough already. If you want quieter fans, PW2's are good: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/468845/be-quiet!-pure-wings-2-pwm-140mm.html
Where did you find SW2's for €12.50? That's a better deal.
If you want a bit more performance,
Apache: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/254649/akasa-apache-12cm-zwart-120mm.html
Slipstream: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/173696/scythe-slip-stream-1200rpm-120mm.html
Also available at higher rpm: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/447051/scythe-slip-stream-120-db-1600-rpm.html

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Christophe Corazza in Whst are the best cpu & case fans for my budged?
The Wraith Spire is a decent cooler, even for light OC. So indeed, it makes sense that you stay with the stock cooler. You could always upgrade further down the line :-)

He already purchased hes psu. Also 650w is good for future proof

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to joshuawi99 in First ever build :D
Cool build indeed but do you need a MoBo this expensive. I would rather get a 150 ish board and buy a bigger HDD (like 3TB).

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to IdiotPenguin in Can i pair 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz ram sticks? DDR4
I'm not sure about the XMP stuff but I think the higher ram will go to the speed of the lowest ram in your system.

Curious... I am really not sure what to suggest other than that one!

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Ace McPlane in is my GPU faulty?
Don't forget to mark this post as solved. Use your own comment where you said it turned out to be the ram stick to mark it solved This way troubleshooters don't have to waste time reading posts that are already dealt with and people with the same problems can find the solution easier.

@Wolf ~ IRONI Well atleast you found the problem mate.

Wolf ~ IRONI got a reaction from Ace McPlane in is my GPU faulty?
I did try that
Turned out to be a failing ram stick
-
Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Jimkirk363 in is my GPU faulty?
@Wolf ~ IRONI Just use the program i said, it will delete anything it needs to and keep what needs to, its a well tested tool.

@Wolf ~ IRONIDid u uinstall the old drivers for your graphics before installing the new ones?
-
Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to AugOwnz in How do I make this pc cheaper?
You might want to get 16 gb of ram aswell.
-
Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Jurrunio in rx 580 4gb or gtx 1060 6gb
RX 580 if you will get a freesync monitor. 6GB VRAM isnt needed yet as many cards out there only have 4GB and devs try their best to not exceed it, since that will ruin the days of many gamers.
MSI's customer service is not as good as Sapphire's, and I'd rather pay for repairs rather than waiting endlessly for RMA or get back something that isnt fixed.
-
Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Morgan MLGman in Is 4GB of VRAM Still Enough?
For 1080p? Sure. Worst-case scenario, you drop the graphical texture setting from Ultra to High - not a noticeable difference anyway.
-
Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to Motifator in New or used. What rx 480/580 should i buy?
More efficient and faster, Pulse is not only one of the better designs of the 580, but it's also the RX 580 over RX 480. You can also get the Nitro.

Wolf ~ IRONI reacted to tikker in What gpu should I get?
You're right that it only matters at higher/the highest settings or higher resolutions. OP also didn't mention the games he/she wants to play, so for all intents and purposes the 3GB would probably be fine.
Depending on how long OP plans to keep the GPU, I proposed the 6 GB just to last a little longer maybe.
