and leave the rest of the world with only the western propaganda - wouldn't that be convenient to stop the few that actually read both sides to try to find some truth?

The whole act of trying to silence someone usually is because those in power don't agree with what they are saying.

You have to understand there is a whole segment of users on this forum who actually have no interest in LTT at best and hold LTT in active contempt at worst.

Look at it a bit like reverse psychology.
Given your current use cases, go for the 8GB since that will limit your tab hoarding and cure you slowly but surely from this bad habit XD.

If you don't wanna be cured - at least 16

komar got a reaction from Alexeygridnev1993 in Why do Arduino microcontrollers often weaker or cost more than cheaper or similarly priced micro controllers that have better specs and features?
Same question could have been asked a few years ago about the RPI 3 - why buy that when there were Orange PI, Banana PI and other "knockoffs" which had better specs.
My personal answer is that I prefer the stuff with bigger community support behind them - RPI for Linux and Arduino for micro controller since many stuff have been done, discovered and documented by the people using them.

Well, if you had problems with 21.6.1 and now there is 21.6.2, don't you think that they probably noticed a problem and made a new version to patch it already?

komar got a reaction from minibois in Is this a PCIe 8x or 16x slot?
@minibois Even looking at the actual pins, you still cant be certain....

    For example: Asus K31AN.

It is kinda hard to see, but the PCIe only has pins for 8x.
Still, the CPU (Intel® Pentium® Processor J2900) has only 4 and no matter what you plug in, it works only in 2x connection cuz I suspect other stuff is also connected to it.

So physical 16x, electrical 8x, possible in theory 4x and in practice only 2x  XD

komar reacted to Alvin853 in We have an issue regarding my Dad's work laptop?
But most likely you will have to disable the laptop display for 2 external displays to work. Most older laptops (which I assume yours is, since it has a VGA out), only support a max of 2 screens at once, and that includes the built in display.

komar got a reaction from Mitko_DSV in If all cars on the road were driven by automated A.I would there be more or less crashes?
    True, but people are predictable.
Also I gave the EMP as an example - here are two others - paintball gun at the sensors/cameras or even big puddle splashed from others. What happens when the computer suddenly can't see?
Also with the current style of manufacturing stuff to brake soon after warranty is over, so you have to buy new, do you feel safe letting something with so many points of failure take control over the vehicle you travel in? I dont....

That's because we gotta raise the standards who gets to drive and who doesnt. Pretty much any retard can get a license yet I still feel safer with them around me instead of autonomously driven cars that can easily crash/glitch/loose data for the environment/easily destroyed with a EMP.

komar reacted to tkitch in How long does it take you to build a PC or swap a component?
    Depends:
If I'm doing my own personal build?  It'll take a while.
I go slow, clean things, blow out fans, cable manage well, etc.

I also did a challenge at a LAN party once.

I tore a computer down to being bare parts on a table.  I think I had it fully assembled and running in ~12 minutes?

"Ancient GPUs" jeej. Here I am still using a GT220 daily in 1 of my bot machines...... (runs a game in 1080p btw)

If your goal is to buy, keep for X amount of years and sell for a profit - don't buy any.
Reason: all of these are middle of the road models and since I'm into some retro computer groups I can tell you for sure - 20% of the people tops would aim to build "the machine they had way back when", while the other 80 would just go for the fastest parts from the same generation.
