  1. not gonna overclock, so i don't need those. Also don't need build suggestions, thanks
  2. Hi all I'm finally done selecting parts (i think) for my first DIY build. I've tried to check compatibility between parts as much as possible, but maybe i missed something. List of the parts i'm planning to use: CPU - i7-6700 GPU - gtx-1060 - i will buy the GPU later when availability in stores has improved RAM - Crucial CT2K8G4DFD8213 - 2 8GB modules MOBO - MSI B150M BAZOOKA 1 HDD + 1 SSD - both SATA Case - be quiet! silent base 600 - includes 2 4-pin fans PSU - corsair MX550x optional cooler if stock cooler is too loud: Be quiet! pure rock I've pretty much settled on these parts so only suggest alternatives if something is not compatible or if you are 100% sure that a component is bad quality.
  3. AFAIK, anything faster than a regular SATA will only benefit you if you regularly move large files from/to that SSD. In games you will not notice much of a difference from what i've heard.
  4. budget is 40-50 euros max (~50-60$ ?) The main reason for buying an i7 is for doing music production. I went with the non K version because it + Z mobo + OC cooler is not in my budget
  5. Hi all I'm planning to buy an i7-6700 and a cooler to go with it. However, most recommendations for skylake coolers i can find are for unlocked i7's. Looking for a good allround option as well as a quiet option.
  6. Motherboards from different manufacturers often have exclusive features, such as 'MSI fast boot' on some MSI mobo's, but is it worth keeping those in mind when choosing one? Or is it more like a fun bonus/ clever marketing? Also, can someone explain what the most important/ useful features are from each of the big 4 manufacturers(ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock). I'm a bit confused by all the different specs and similar motherboards
  7. Whoops, mixed that up. Anyway i'm planning on doing a lot of fancy stuff (like RAID, multi-GPU OC-ing etc.), but the main reason i asked specifically about the m.2 is because i'm a bit confused as to how an m.2 drive fits onto the mobo. From what i understand, the m.2 goes into a specificaly designed slot, but i've also heard that they go into a PCI-e slot.
  8. Are there any motherboards you can recommend for an i7-6700, which has at least one m.2 slot? It should be either a regular ATX or a micro-ATX form factor, and support 2133mHz RAM. Also any recommendations in what kind of mobo i should avoid?
  9. The main reason i am inclined to buy a deathadder is because of the sensitive mouse buttons, not because it's from Razer. If you can recommend other mice which have similarly sensitive buttons, please do. I play mostly FPS, so i don't need a ton of buttons on it.
  10. This might be a strange question, but should i go with the Chroma or the 2013 version? Main reason for this post is because i've heard a lot of negative things about the Chroma's drivers software Synapse. Other than the software and the RGB lighting the 2013 seems to be identical. Thoughts on this?
