  1. So I have no idea what happened now... Suddenly out of nowhere my ethernet started working but it's showing that it's coming from the main router though the repeater router is in the middle of the connection and it should show that it is coming from the repeater router which has a ".... repeater" name. I still have the wifi from the repeater router but can't connect to the DD-WRT control panel still. So the problem somewhat fixed itself but kinda didn't since I still have no way to connect to the router's control panel.
  2. Hey LTT community! I've been trying to setup a second router to boost my wifi signal but also give me a possibilty to connect an ethernet cable to my computer from the repeater router through DD-WRT software. The repeater router (which is a Linksys one) was already setup that way by me before but then one day I went to fiddle with some totally random settings in the DD-WRT interface and it crashed and had to be hard reset. That means it lost its repeater bridge capabilities. I've now trying to set it up again for several days to get it back to the point where it was before but have been failing most of the time. Now, through some tutorial I managed to get it half working. The repeater is now giving out wifi signal and I can connect to it and I actually have internet connection on that wifi (tested on my phone and computer also) BUT for god knows what reason, I don't have internet connection through my ethernet cable to my computer that comes from the repeater router. When I first got the repeated wifi up, Windows showed that the computer had internet through the ethernet cable and even showed the name of the router but in reality I couldn't connect to websites (it was throwing some kind of a DNS error). So then I decided to just pull the power cable on the repeater router to restart it but now I am still able to connect to wifi but Windows says the ethernet connection's name is unidentified and shows no internet connection still. Worst of all though, I can't connect back to the repeater router's control panel (DD-WRT) to change any settings, Chrome is just throwing a "site can't be reached (IP ADDRESS) took too long to respond" error. So does anyone have any idea on what to do? I'm starting to go crazy over here. The type is definitely set to "Repeater Bridge" not just "Repeater" in DD-WRT, but it doesn't really matter if I can't connect to the control panel. Resetting a router means I'd lose my wifi connection as well which would give me access to the control panel of the router again but would also set me back to square one with the whole thing. I'm using Windows 10 btw. Thanks!
