Hey there everyone,
So yesterday I built this new computer but since I have been running it, the screen has randomly been flickering black and back to normal again. It's happening approximately once every minute or two, and lasts a couple of seconds. While it's black, the computer is still running fine. I can type fine and sound through 'audio out' for my headphones continues to work perfectly. That's not the only problem though, when sound is being played through my monitor instead, its constantly stuttering. The monitor is connected to the motherboard HDMI 2.0 port. This means there's something wrong with the HDMI connection doesn't it?
I've tried changing the HDMI cable and the same problem occurs. I know it isn't a problem with the monitor or cables because my old pc runs both absolutely fine. I've updated all the drivers for literally everything after scouring the internet for answers. I'm running on Intel HD 530 graphics at the moment because I'm still waiting to order a GTX 1080.
My current specs are (ignoring all cooling - all temperatures seem fine):
Monitor: BenQ GL2450 (soon to be replaced)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X - Gaming 7
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K
RAM: 2x DDR4 3200MHz 8GB Corsair Platinum (running XMP 2.0 to actually use that speed)
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 512GB
Wireless Card: Asus PCE - AC68 - AC1900
OS: Windows 8.1
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I have no idea what's causing it.
Thanks.
