The SSD is THE most significant speed improvement you will notice over ram and even CPU Speed (depending what you're coming from...). I'd say drop on peripherals, drop on case, drop anything non essential to get that SSD. Drop even on total RAM if you ask me..

I'm dire need to update my GTX660Ti... it's getting old now. Also I've heard AMD has improved in linux, what better way to find out than by trying it out myself? =P

After a bit more or searching, only more questions: - Gigabyte GB-BACE-3150: A bit over the budget at 130$, but feasible as I have the remaining components. But is it worth it? - Intel Compute stick: No possible upgrades in the future and some bad reviews.100$ - Intel Pentium G3250: MoBo + CPU stand at 100$ and can be run fanless. All said and done you can have it nearly "no-noise" for 160$. Way over budget but also waayyyyyy more poweful. This looks as the best option right now.

I'm on the hunt for a "noiseless" PC on a budget of 100$. I just need the pc, the peripherals I have. So I know of the Kangaroo and the Rpi for example, what more is there? can anyone point me to good reviews?. I just need it for web browsing and word processing and I do not care what OS it ships with, anything will do. Luke if by any chance you read this, we need a comparison!!! Have a great day!
