The 'of' variable has to be the device itself not the folder it's mounted in, i.e. /dev/sdx
where x is the appropriate drive letter e.g. sdb.
Be sure you get this right since this command deletes everything on /dev/sdx.
Also the usb drive must not be mounted. If it automounts you have to unmont it first.

It would be faster to just call Fib(i) before the if statement and save its result. Right now every even Fibonacci-number gets calculated twice.
The second method just gives you the i.th Fibonacci-number using recursion.
If you don't understand what it does just write down what happens for a small i, i.e i=4:
    Fib(4) = Fib(3) + Fib(2)
    Fib(3) = Fib(2) + Fib(1)
    Fib(2) = 1     Fib(1) = 1
    hence Fib(4) = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3

    if not : x, 2x, (2x)2
you write down 1 and then start counting with 2

You forget that we have x -> 5-, which means the denominator is negative. Therefor the result is -infinite.

However, the other people are right if they use logic and reason to argue why they do things the way they do it, and all you got as a defense is "but I have already learn the other system".
I don't see why we are even having this discussion. Metric is superior and the vast majority of the world uses it. "I don't want to learn another system" is a reason for you not changing, but it's not a reason for why the future children of your country should learn it nor is it a reason why it is objectively superior.

Edit: Actually, there isn't even anything to learn. You're already used to the prefixes since they are used in other areas such as computers (kilobyte, megabite etc). It's also so logical that the only thing you have to remember is "each 100 is a new unit".

Just write that you've tried the divisors of 1872. Trial and error is your only way of solving this equation.
Then you can divide/factorize and get an equation of order 2 which you can solve easily with the apropriate formula.
There exists a formula for solving polynomial equation up to the order of 4, but the last two ones are too advanced in your case.

There are other ways to make the gap smaller. For example a basic income for everyone, lower taxes on work, taxes for wealth and more.
I know that all of this things are unlikely to happen especially in the US.

That seems like class struggle/conflict to me. Employer and employee should treat each other as partners.

The method mentioned above doesn't work. You can't divide those polynoms with each other because their degree is the same.

A book that updates itself over time with more and more information for you to read. Unfortunately IQ isn't a good measure of actual intelligence, we'd need a whole other method of testing voters for that. And even if we do make a whole other test for voters it'll still end up being horrid because then it'd be standardized across the board like how state education is right now lol...

There is a lot of truth to this, having everyone think at the same mental capacity is a impossible task unless we somehow think like a hive mind... Its inevitable we will always have those who are mentality no up to the task having the ability to vote, because different people have different interests which greatly determines what they know on any given subject.

A 10 page mission later I am finally up to date on this. I first want to start by saying that my opinions here may be highly unpopular so you have been warned.
Now I just want to clear the air on the whole point of discrimination, it is already happening in society and Australia has actually legislated it to an extent with their "Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander only jobs" (No word of a lie that is actually a thing). We currently have a primier in Queensland who has passed legislation that if you ride a motor bike (especially a harley davidson) you are guilty until your innocence is proven. Since Primier Newman went on his bikie rampage you no longer have the right to remain silent and can be charged with obstruction of justice by doing so. Dont even get me started on the health system and what is currently going on with that.
I honestly believe if you think that this proposal would descriminate anything more then some of the bullshit that already passes through governments to fill private agendas you are ignorant.
The whole democratic system is broken at a fundamental level on the scale the world has grown to now, it is easily susceptable to corruption and private agenda's not to mention the people you vote for (here in Australia at least) are mere figure heads however that is a topic for a different discussion.
The idea of right to vote being determined by wether you are or were an actively contributing member of society has been deemed wrong so we will scratch that.
Allowing the uneducated masses to vote clearly doesn't work (QLD, Australia) so we can scratch that.
Basing it as a scaling amount isn't fair because 10% of a low income earners wage is more detrimental to their life than 10% of a high income earners wage... (I personally say this is bullshit, from a pure mathematical stand point based on minimum cost of living ect. I whole heartedly agree, however you will find that most high income earners are up to their eyeballs in debt and it is only when we start talking about your beyond comprehensible amounts of wealth people that stands true, however then again they pay people a "high income" to find every last white tax loop hole they can, before moving onto the grey and let me assure you some of those shades of grey are pretty damn close to black you could be forgiven for making the mistake)
So that leaves us a few options still on the table, find a new system that is 'fair' and makes everyone happy whereby everyone is equal and happy days and sunshine...
Watch the world burn for a while longer and when a global scale war errupts again watch how well people can get along once there is a billion or two less people on this planet and the global economy is reset.
The third option is to accept that any system is going to be broken in some regard and someone will get boned out of it, just look after your own interests through whatever means necessary, if you choose to do this by getting a mass of people with similar ideas to give your vested interests a fighting chance in the broken system or completely reject society and go hermit or any balance there of doesn't matter.

Were not brainstorming a idea to put it out to use later or something, its just a discussion on the concept and its effects. I'm in no way saying we should do this or that we shouldn't, I'm just talking about it and dissecting it.

If the ideas insane, I'd still like to dissect it to analyze why it is and what it was thought up. You can learn things from bad concepts and ideas too.

"I hear the Kim family are looking to adopt, some people here would show a lot of potential." Come on now lets not insult peoples intelligence even if its not direct. It's fine to disagree with the concept but lets not make it personal to the people who came up with or are talking about it.

Sorry I misunderstood you and I also left out a "not". I meant that not a lot of additional people would be excluded (if the limit isn't too high). Which leads to the question if a similar system is already in place. I'm not talking about voting, but about the decission making in politics.
We don't need a precise measurment. I was referring to the tendency that the percentage of voter is lower in the underclass.

If we don't have details we could just add some by ourselfes since it's just a really vage concept which is leading to some misunderstandings.
The best way to make it work is actually the current system:
You must pay taxes (income, vat,...) and if you don't pay them you can get imprisoned (which is very rare) and you have to pay extra.
I know that you can vote as long as they don't catch you, but that's what I like about this system: the citizen is seen as innocent.

This would still be extremely unfair.
For example in Italy some persons retired after around 10-20 years of work. In this extreme cases the relation to the amount of taxes they payed and from the money they got after retireing is quite onesided.  I would say thats worse than not working at all. What I want to say is that you can't really measure how much somebody has done/taken from society.

Also why let there be a limit and not just count the percentage of the paid taxes?
That would make the idea at least a little bit more interesting.

I agree that to justify this system our current one would need to change dramatically. And while it might have some advantages I don't see any reasons why it would have the potential to be better.

With 26P3 you take one letter away after you got it.
In your problem you just choose a random letter and then write it down.
In the second case you can get AAA which isn't possible in the first one. As a consequence there are less options.

You should view this problem as choosing three times a random letter which makes it easier:
The possibility of getting A is 1/26.
    Doing this three times: (1/26)*(1/26)*(1/26)=1/26^3
You can do this because they don't influence each other (i.e. it doesn't matter which letter you got the first time, the possibilities of the second round don't change)
