Im looking to get new card should i get a 980 or wait for the 1070. Cant afford a 1080 so what should i get?

What you recomend for about $1250 I have some time to save up until the 1070 comes out.

I don't have to get a 980 i just wanted something that will work good with a VR headset that I will get in the future.
