  1. $350 for the CPU. I was just basing that off Core I7-6700K ahaha But that's the thing, I'm not 100% sure if that's the best deal. If I can get the same performance from an FX and save some money then I'm down.
  2. I mean, i'm pretty loose with the budget. I just want to build a good machine so $350 would maybe be close to a max. But I'm willing to go a little higher if there's going to be a difference.
  3. Alright so you think an i7 vs. maybe an AMD FX? And would getting something like 6700K be the best bet?
  4. Hey everyone! I’ve had never been interested in PC building until I started getting into the PC building community on YouTube. Now I’m interested in trying it out with my first build to meet some new needs I’ve had when it comes to tech. But all the information I’m getting seems conflicting so I wanted some advice. I plan on having this PC run Windows 10, and having it run as a home server. Automation, file server, web server, media server, etc. In addition, I want to use it for Adobe Create Cloud applications. Mostly After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition. And maybe play some games on the side, but I’m not too much of a gamer, so it would be fairly light. I have a MacBook Pro right now and I have a Core i5 HP desktop as my home server. I’m lost as to what CPU I should get, mainly between AMD FX and the i7 and the i5? Hyper-threading seems to get me because I’m a huge multi-tasker and will probably be running some virtual machines at most times. Also what graphics card. I’m thinking the GFX 950 Ti with 2GB onboard memory but again, not sure. Any suggestions? Thanks!
