    The only thing that has been holding me back is that there aren't any with a Hungarian layout and all the extra characters [ó,ö,ő,ú,ü,ű,é,á,í] but, I think I can give that up since most of the writing I do is in English nowadays.

    Being able to just swap stuff out seems super convenient as well.

    Ah I see. That's a 100% fair enough / understandable argument between Hungarian + English, I suppose ❤️

    Nearly forgot to mention on this status-update that I ordered My custom-keyboard btw, @Cyberspirit lol :3

    Nice, guess we both hate our wallets. :P

    What did you get?

    @Cyberspirit GK61 with Brown Switches.

    Although, I'm kinda wondering if it's possible to swap to a wooden chassis and 'transfer' the switches / caps and whatever else ?

    What particular one did You get and from where? (Link)

    Just curious ;) lol :3

    I got this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32902986840.html the metal kit.

    I'm guessing you got something similar so, you should be able to just take the mainboard out and plop it into a different chassis as long as the form factor is right.

    With these hot-swap boards you don't have to solder so, you can use any switch you like.

    @Cyberspirit Is that only for the wooden case? And you don't get the 61 Switches and no 61 keycaps?

    If so, that's very expensive o.O assuming I'm looking at the right one. That pearwood one for Me is like £66~ :o

    @Xiauj Yeah, with this you get a case, mainboard, and a plate so, you have to put in the switches and get keycaps.

    Do you have a link to what you got? I haven't seen one that comes with switches and keycaps preinstalled yet.

    @Cyberspirit I ordered this:

    https://uk.banggood.com/Geek-GK61-60-61Keys-Gateron-Optical-Axis-RGB-Mechanical-Keyboard-Type-c-Programmable-Gaming-p-1391919.html?rmmds=search&ID=515630&cur_warehouse=CN

    And I ordered some different coloured keycaps hoping they will fit etc.

    I assume I would be able to transfer this ^^^^^ above into a wooden case/chassis, like the one You linked on Aliexpress?

  11. Cyberspirit

    Cyberspirit

    @Xiauj Yeah, that looks like the plastic version of it so, you should be able to just take the case off and put all of it into a new one.

    Just asked Sowon (Seoz) on Discord and She said it's possible and easy! :D Looks like I might have to order a new chassis!

    Make sure it can fit the PCB you have and you'll be fine. If you just want the same chassis but in wood then it's all compatible.

    Xiauj

    Errr.. I think they are the size PCB. 61-key layout. Are they the same? based on My Banggood link and Your Aliexpress link? ?

    Should be, yeah. As far as I can see, everything is the same, except that yours has the plastic case.
