  1. Ok I.. kind of understand what You mean, but still a bit confused, lol. Soo, any chance You could answer Me this?:
  2. Ah I see, interesting. I haven't tried doing that just yet, I should though lol. Reason being is that, I'm a bit nervous as mentioned in the OP lol. I hate BIOS related stuff if You can't tell May I ask how are You able to determine/confirm that the Ryzen 5 1600 is not capable of handling this 32GB (4x8GB) setup at 3,000MHz? Furthermore, how can I, as a customer.. when buying parts in the future know what CPUs are handling [X] Amount of RAM at [Insert-Speed]...?; which in My case is 32GB at 3,000MHz as You are aware I need some honest advice here Because I mean, if My CPU apparently can't handle this 32GB Setup then obviously I'm gonna have to consider buying another CPU and possibly a new motherboard depending if the motherboard I choose can support let's say... the 5000 Ryzen-Series CPUs and My current RAM / RAM's Part-Number, lol.
  3. I just checked the BIOS again after I saw Your comment and noticed that the "Gear Down Mode" under the Advanced Timing Control section is Greyed Out not allowing Me to change it when I click it with My cursor; it's set to Auto as You can also see in the picture below:
  4. I'm gonna be fully honest here but I have no idea why You're mentioning R5 1600's clock speed(?) of 2,667MHz, assuming that's what that is, I also don't see how it relates to the RAM Situation, aka this entire post.. lol. Could You explain what Your referring too? @ddennis002 These are My settings in the BIOS, I just checked: This first image is the Advanced Frequency Settings Tab: This second image is the Advanced Memory Settings Tab: Can You see anything that's incorrect? And if so.., how do I fix it if at all possible?
  5. Hi all, Before I go any further, these are My PC Specs currently: So as of recently, I've been wanting to deal with an issue that I've had for a while with this PC so that I can play more games/do-more-editing/etc..; and that issue is the RAM Speed. My RAM setup is 2 kits of Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3,000MHz CL15 Memory equalling 32GB in total (Aka 4x8GB), the second 16GB kit I had purchased at a different stage within the past 2-3 years (Can't remember when exactly) since I built this PC, anyways moving on..., I kind of know what My RAM Speed is at the moment, it I think.. is at 1,066MHz per RAM Stick according to HWInfo64 when I ran it very recently, as shown: I also noticed this still hasn't changed.. It's been like this for months within Windows 10's Task-Manager in the Memory section within the Performance tab: "Hardware reserved: 0 MB" is what I'm referring too, because normally that would show the actual RAM-Speed(s), no? I might be wrong on that but here's the image as shown below: And tonight, I figured, hey, why not take the side panel off for a second and try to snag a picture of one of the RAM Stick's Part-Number to confirm that they match with PCPartPicker's Part-Number (#) and with the Statistics on GIGABYTE's PDF for My specific motherboard, all of which are linked here: > https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/MYH48d/corsair-memory-cmk16gx4m2b3000c15 > https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/xQQRsY/gigabyte-ga-ax370-gaming-k5-atx-am4-motherboard-ga-ax370-gaming-k5 > https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-ax370-gaming-k5_pinnacle.pdf (My CPU as listed above is a Pinnacle Ridge Core-Family-specific CPU so this should be the correct PDF on the website!) > https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/8HqBD3/amd-ryzen-5-1600-12nm-32-ghz-6-core-processor-yd1600bbafbox Just to make it easier/quicker...., here's a screenshot of My RAM's Part Number on that GIGABYTE-Motherboard-PDF's Spreadsheet as well as an actual photo (Sorry in advance about the picture quality) of one of the RAM Stick's Part-Number: Note that it says "8GB" + "2133" below in the image which is really, really, really strange..., compare that to the statistics on the PCPartPicker link above. I dunno what's going on there, I can't tell if that's GIGABYTE's Fault or Corsair's Fault maybe?? None of this makes any sense and that's why I'm making this topic, because I'm very confused and need some help if You can't tell It's a kit of RAM (x2) that's advertised at 3,000MHz, I'm getting like 1 third of that total amount per 4x RAM Sticks which I haven't really noticed up until recently when I ran HWInfo64, I can't figure out that really weird Task Manager issue and the final reason being that I have absolutely NO IDEA how to get the promised RAM Speed of approximately 3,000MHz per 4x RAM Sticks, not to mention the fact that I get very concerned when it comes to BIOS-Related Stuff So umm, help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! If I need to add any extra details for You to help Me out, please let Me know down below! I could really do with some help here! Thanks again!
  6. @GoodBytes Heya! I'm not trying to make this sound like a troubleshooting post, just as a question but, has Windows-10's "Movies & TV" app been changed in any way in this update? I ask because of two reasons: > It doesn't say anything about this app in the OP from what I've read thus far > And also because I installed the update as I was going to bed last night, I woke up not so long ago, and now I can't play .MP4 files at all? EDIT: Read My next comment, misunderstood a couple of things

    Ayyyyyy ☝️ That 1k Post-Count though!

Oh and Hello again btw o/ I've been away from the forum lately but I'm back so... yeah. Hi. Hey. Bonjour. Wassup. :D

Been working on some IRL Stuff around the house + personal Keyboard-Projects + personal Hardware+Software-Projects. Also managed to bring back a few memories from many years ago whilst clearing out some stuff that was in storage. I found some half-decent monitors, a NAS Drive which I don't remember having, some Hard-Drives and some other hardware. I might try and sell some of it at some point on eBay/In-The-Local-Area-IRL for a bit of extra cash once the UK Government decides to make a statement declaring that the UK-Residents can finally come out of lockdown because of the ongoing COVID-19/Corona-Virus Global Pandemic both here in the UK and across the world more or less, lol.

  8. Ok I think I've just discovered a fix. I'm able to export to the MP4 Format, not MKV with fully functioning main-film-audio! Thanks for the advice though @Sauron I've learned a couple of things lol.
  9. Yeah but that's what I'm saying I don't know which audio-track is which in MakeMKV; which one's the commentary; which one's the main-film-audio; etc... It sounds pretty pointless ripping to MKV via MakeMKV with the commentary audio-track(s) on the clip then dragging that into Handbrake because Handbrake shows the audio-tracks because it won't play them individually for Me to then identify them individually.
  10. Ah I see. Why check the Handbrake settings? Because of what I wrote (Quoted above ^) and also because MP4 has a lower file size. There's also the fact that MP4 (..from what I've discovered) is able to maintain the quality when do You a side-by-side comparison, not much quality is lost. And does that also mean You can save said track with the set audio track preference to then be played in another application?
  11. Yeah that was My initial thought process too, the Legal DRM stuff You mentioned. Is there any type of plugin like with AACS-one that can play BluRays but for M2TS Files? Or maybe AACS can handle M2TS as well? I haven't tried it because everytime I try to install AACS onto My installation of VLC, it doesn't wanna play ball to say the least... Lol. I should have also mentioned this in the OP but I'm using Handbrake after the MakeMKV Process to convert the DVDs + BluRays into MP4. So, would VLC be capable of storing the settings if You were to switch to the "Normal audio track" though? My guess is No but what do You think? That's the word I was thinking of....... Lmfao. Had a serious brainfart-moment whilst writing the OP! What do You mean by improperly ripped? As in.. they've just slapped it on there any old how and cba'd to format the tracks ..? /s
  12. NOTICE TO MODS: Hey, So I'm in the process of converting some of My BluRays (And DVDs) that I've had on the shelves for quite a while and I'm gonna put all of them onto a separate system (or drive) so that they are accessible at any given time but I'm having a slight issue or two with some BluRay Sets in particular. What's happening is that, some complete sets (Both in DVD-Format / BluRay Format) have also been given a documentary(?)/voiceover(?)/whatever-it's-called by the directors/producers for obvious (and probably legal) reasons that keeps playing "over the rest of the other audio-tracks" and I can't figure out how to disable it / which files on the disc correspond to which audio-track if You see what I mean (Sorry if I've explained that in a weird way lol) \__/ ...and so, My questions for this topic are as follows: 1) Is there any way to make it so that MakeMKV shows the filenames as well as the Track-Information (Type/Name/Language/Codec/etc.........) ..? If so, how? 2) Is there any way to make it so that VLC can play M2TS files? If so, how? Because as it is currently, I can open the file but a small yellow-bar bounces from Left To Right indicating that it's loading and once that's done after about a minute later.. I press play and nothing else happens. NOTHING at all. And before anyone says what I'm about to say, I've already tried this so please don't repeat it but, I've already tried the MakeMKV Forums. TLDR: If anyone knows a way to get rid of these irritating documentaries/voiceovers/whatever-it's-called that they add in, let Me know! Thanks
  13. RIP. Twitchcon-EU has been cancelled because of the fucking Coronavirus. I have to admit though, it was a very unfortunate but smart decision on Twitch's behalf. But yeah, that REALLY freaking sucks.

yeah I heard that :/ would have been a bit far to go for me, but I"m hoping the San Diego one is still able to go on as planned :) it's 25 minutes from me so I"m def. planning to go.

I need that PepeHands emote though for LTX ... cause it's too far for me.  (basically if I can't drive to an event  and back the same day, I can't afford to go, and Vancouver is pretty far from San DIego.)

  14. Sweet! Thank Youuu! Glad I found this one tbh for that price haha
  15. Ohhhh I see, interesting ? I never knew that lol, just the name and that's 'bout it haha So it's definitely the same model, yeah? Ok sweet! That's good to know! Thanks!
  16. @Windows7ge @wkdpaul @SansVarnic Hey, quick question? So umm, I thought Windows7ge was kidding when He said "eBay" + "($20~$30)" but I was very wrong lmao ? ..and that goes to show how crap My Networking-Knowledge is ? Anyways moving on, I found the same model as the one in My previous comment above Paul's but this one has "Cisco" in the title and it has a lower price which is pretty nice. Link: here. So, this is still the right model, correct? Just wanna be sure because I've heard Cisco a lot but I have no idea about them, lmao. Are they a part of Linksys or something? I am still able to put the cable as it is, coming from My router, into Port-#1 and have access/hook-up other devices like PCs/Consoles/etc..... in Ports #2-#24..? Correct?
  17. @Windows7ge @wkdpaul @SansVarnic, Ok so I've been looking around at some unmanaged switches and at the ones that SansVermic very kindly linked above (Thanks btw) and luckily, I found one sold by My local Amazon here in the UK (Amazon-UK), however, because I'm a complete noob as You can probably tell by now... Lmao, I just wanna be 100% sure on a couple of things before I order this 24-Port Linksys switch and return the one I have atm: I am able to put the cable as it is, coming from My router, into Port-#1 and have access/hook-up other devices like PCs/Consoles/etc..... in Ports #2-#24..? Correct? And that is a 19" compatible Rackmount..? I need it to be 19". Correct? Sorry for all the questions, I just wanna be 100% sure as mentioned :3
  18. Do 19" Rack-mountable switches exist??; Where I can as mentioned, insert the cable from the router into Port #1 and have access to the rest of the ports for other devices? Sorry, I legit have no Networking knowledge lmao
  19. No as in.. I don't need to provide power? Really? That's surprising to Me, lol. Ok then! And I only need to do that for Port #1, right? For the cable that comes from My Router? or..? Ohhhhhh.... RIP. I might have to return this then >_< So I cannot, repeat CANNOT, shove the cable from the router into Port #1 and have access to the rest of the ports for other devices? Correct? Is there any 19" rack-mount ones that can let Me shove the cable from the router into Port #1 and have access to the rest of the ports for other devices? If so, Link / Item name please? ?
  20. Hey everyone, I recently bought this rack-mountable patch panel / network switch from Amazon-UK and I'm a bit confused on how to wire it up because I thought it was going to be similar to My other Network switch that I have lying on My desk currently but it's completely different and like I said before, I'm confused. VERY Confused . A) Do I need to provide power? Assuming Yes, lol, but I cannot see how You're meant to provide power because this patch panel had come with no plug/power-source when it arrived. There's a earth-wire with a circle-shaped metal hook (Sort of) which I assume You attach directly onto the rack-mount case, maybe? If so, how? B) From what I can tell, the wire that comes from My router needs to be opened up and each of the colours needs to be "punched down" into the patch panel with a "LSA Insertion Tool" in Port #1 so I can then have access to Ports #2-#24? Is that how it works? C) Ports #1-#8 are on one PCB and so are Ports #9-#16 and Ports #17-#24. Can I "bridge" the PCBs together for Ethernet-access and power? If so, how?? Really need some help and advice! Thanks!
  21. Not gonna lie but after having watched today's video about Mech-Keyboard switches w/ the LTT/LMG Crew, I was hoping to hear/see an entirely different overall result(s) but instead, I'm a bit disappointed/irritated/triggered with the previously mentioned Results and the other Mech-Keyboard videos that LTT have been putting out recently... and yes, including the (IMHO) very-overpriced OTT metal keyboard lmao ¬_¬

I swear to God...., if I see one more freaking…

@Cyberspirit It's gonna be a TKL Keyboard with Turquoise-Tealios switches, steel plate, lubed stabs (And no they are NOT, I repeat, they are NOT Cherry/GMK, thank GOD ) sealed within a plastic case although I'm gonna be changing that, hopefully. I have yet to order the keycaps as well, should be getting a GMK Set soon!

@Cyberspirit Nah, something new. Having issues with the PCB.
