Hope it works out, windows based raid gives me anxiety flashbacks from server 2003 raid failures.
I only rely on linux mdadm for my sanity, that and newer raid tech.

I'd go with i5-6500 for anyone who doesn't want to overclock. i7-6700 is too expensive for someone who's not a performance enthusiast.

- Don't drop screws in the psu
- Remember to turn on the psu
- Ground yourself
- Install RAM, CPU and cpu fan before installing the motherboard
- Plan out cable management. You're going to spend a lot of time on this
