  1. So I got lucky and found myself with a $500 Vizio oled tv. I got my windows 11 machine up and running great I beautiful 4k 120 HDR looks a feels incredible. Here's my problem in the windows HDR calibration tool it never goes fully white until it's set to 2800 max on the slider. And then it reports as 10,000 nits I know this tvs max is around 800 in a small window. The question is should I just not use a profile, use it at max and maybe to tv tone maps it down or set it to 800. Will it clip if I set it too high? https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio/oled-2020
  2. I tried replacing the backlight but I broke the screen so no go
  3. So I have a dualshock 4 fully charged. When I prd the ps button nothing happens. If I plug it into a ps4 the charge light covers on but it's full now so it turns off. I tried connecting it to a PC it works for about 5 seconds and then disconnects. Same with a phone. So I can get it into sync mode but that's it it turns off immediately and won't come back on until I put it in syncing mode again. I tried resetting it with the button on back.
  4. That's true I messed with all the ribbon cable and connectors on the bottom nothing I think the panel just broke after 6 years
  5. I have a Vizio M50-E1 and it's been alright. But I have a vertical line through it. Any troubleshooting steps I'm willing to open it up. It's static no flicker just that and it looks like 1-2 pixels wide
  6. This makes sense to me I wish I could find someone comparing the 2.
  7. So I'm upgrading a work station and this is what I've learned from the research I've done. With geekbench scores 8 core v4 E5-2667V4 $25 3.2/3.6ghz 25mb GB6 S1147 M6824 E5-1660V4 $38 3.2/3.8ghz 20mb GB6 S1158 M6859 E5-1680V4 $100 3.4/4.0ghz 20mb 6 core E5-2643V4 $27 3.4/3.6/3.7ghz 20mb GB6 S1228 M5482 E5-1650V4 $20 3.6ghz/4.0ghz 15mb GB6 S1241 M5826 So I'm going to use this In a workstation for some lower end gaming. So for gaming is the 2667 v4 with 25mb of cache better or is the 1660v4 better for higher clocks. Also is the 1650 v4 better because of clocks too. It has less cache and cores but more speed. I'm leaning towards the 1660v4 because it being an 8 core but still decent specs. But the 2667 is significantly cheaper and has 5mb more of cache would that be better for games.
  8. My debate is between the 1660 for $38 and 1650 for $15. The 8 core could last longer but it's over double the price is it worth it?
  9. Here's my research and pricing with geekbench 6 for reference Honestly having a hard time deciding 8 core v4 E5-2667V4 $25 3.6ghz 25mb GB6 S1147 M6824 E5-1660V4 $38 3.8ghz 20mb GB6 S1158 M6859 E5-1680V4 $100 4.0ghz 20mb 6 core E5-2643V4 $27 3.7ghz 20mb GB6 S1228 M5482 E5-1650V4 $20 4.0ghz 15mb GB6 S1241 M5826 Would one of the 8 cores be worth it or no. Also does the 25mb cache make a difference on the 2667 for games
  10. Okay yeah I see some for $12 plus that's broadwell awesome. V4 sounds great
  11. So I recently acquired a Dell precision 5810 and I am very confused I cannot find a clear form that says the supported CPU list. It has a e5 1607 v3 obviously not great so it's there a form that shows a CPU list if not what is the fastest 6/8 core I can put in it. I updated the bios. I have a GPU and it has 16gb ram I want to do some lighter gaming I know it's old but what xeons work in here
  12. Okay so I have a XQ-BC62 and a few months ago the sim card would randomly stop reading and it says no sim. I have to take it out and put it back in. I got a new sim card and same deal still goes out all the time. I tried the sim in another phone it it was fine for 3 days. I tried to clean it out but no luck. Any suggestions?
