These appear to be the exact same cards except the extreme pro has a slight better binning that might allow but not guaranteed to get like 10MBps more read speed from what I can tell in reviewers that posted screenshots of speed tests. Some Extremes get the same speed as Extreme Pro if you look at all screenshots on amazon. Besides price and a very small chance of marginal better performance. Is there any tangible difference? write endurance or other things? Is there anything coming down the road that will make a huge difference in price/performance? Is a new standard or tech coming in the next year that would make a real difference? I don't follow microSD cards so I am hoping someone follows the R&D/product release cycle here. I am using a Galaxy S9+ and will buy a newer phone in near future and supposedly 400GB is the largest mine supports and I don't need any bigger ATM. Performance and price is most important and basically making sure I don't make a silly/ignorant purchase. (like the dodo's that bought a 2080ti in the last month :P) Are there faster cards than these? AFAIK these are the fastest and best microSD cards.   5. okay...a friend of mine got back to me and I am researching and testing his opinion and I will post back in a couple days when I get time but It is possible that the M.2 slot and PCI E slot glitch out for some reason. So moving PCIe card down 1 slot might have solved it...which is bleeding fudging retarded. I'll post more in a couple days
  6. I recall stock is not IT mode which is why many sellers flash it in IT mode for a few extra bucks to save a hassle. thats how the 9211 was so i assumed the same was the case (googling lead me to believe that)

  8. okay. I switched to the 9211 and it shows as mass storage controller in the MB picture. I also see it load in DOS start up. In windows it doesnt show up. I don't see any drivers auto updating in windows updates. What exact files should I try to install for 9211?

  10. Gah, linus servers went down and i lost my post. I forgot to mention I don't see the 9207 anywhere in windows. I only see it in the MB picture in BIOS.
  11. it came pre-flashed from a reputable seller. I was saying i hope i didn't accidentally re-flash it and mess it up. So what are your thoughts or ideas?
  12. I had an 9211-8i installed but upgrading to windows 10 pro and to a 9207-8i. It was like 4 years ago when I installed the 9211 on Win 7 Pro and I am struggling to get the 9207-8i to work. My 9207-8i is from ebay and is flashed to IT mode assuming I didn't accidentally mess it up. The 9207-8i shows as an NVME mass storage device when looking at the "MB picture" in bios so it at least appears to not be DOA. I don't see it initializing when I boot though. I thought the drivers and everything were just click and it installs or windows 10 automatically installs them and it works but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any help on this would be much appreciated. I dont see any youtube videos for windows 10. I am going through the install guide for the 9207-8i and I am stuck as this regedit part. If you have any questions I will respond and if you can help me via discord or any other way i will gladly take the help.   13. @LinusTech I am furthering an aspect of IBMs research from the 80s on rapid response times and I wanted to know Linus if i can barrow your LED thing from Free-sync vs G-Sync input lag comparison. Background I found the research from the 80s in rapid response very interesting and I wanted to expand that study to an extent. It was disappointing not seeing 100ms or less response times. But this was the 80s and there were other preconceived notions, which I still see people believing more than 30 years later, sadly. It kinda makes sense they never went that low given the facts of that time period. I am researching the difference 60hz LCD vs 120hz LCD vs 120Hz LCD ULMB vs 120hz OLED screens and their impact of perceived response times.* I am also going to throwing in input lag for added detail given the fact it may show some other hidden insight and requires very little extra work to test and log. With Windows 7 fade-in enabled it is ~250ms but no fade is ~50ms from my initial recordings. That is 3 frames vs 17 frames on a 60hz screen. (BTW i am not just testing windows OS. I am looking at other programs as well. It is just the first thing I tested to see what was going on so I can start to formulate a project plan.) I was shocked that I could actual perceive all 3 frames on the 50ms load speed. I never imagined my eyes and brain could notice separate frames at that speed, which made me want to test and research higher hz with various display technology added into the testing to see how they affect response times and user experience. This is something I have noticed and is worth a good study but far outside my scope and resources. I don't have the resources to test how all this actually affects productivity (it does given what IBM has already proven in the 80s). I only have enough time and tools to show there is a tangible difference between them. (I am lone rangering this after all) Additionally, from my initial experiments with this I have noticed something in particular and I would love to see a study on the impacts of transitions vs instant pop up and how it affects human attention. I know from my experience sometimes fast 3 frame pop ups can be a little jarring and distracting vs a smooth transition. So there must be a "perfect blend" of the two. What is that? Not a clue and I don't have the resources to even dare test that but it must exist and deserves a real study to find the perfect blend of a smooth transition that is also fast. 50ms vs 250ms is really quite noticeable from my experience, which is why i want to document this. *I have a separate project being done at the same time that looks at what is the current limitation of modern OSes and programs in terms of computer hardware.
