  1. Alright, so it seems like Ryzen 5000 would be the best option for me. As the 12900K is roughly 600 Euros for me and from what I've seen in game benchmarks, it performs roughly the same as the 58003XD. The 12700K is about 440 Euros for me and I don't mind spending 50-60 more for a 3XD or less than that for a 5900X or something. That saves me the hassle of maybe having to disable E cores, etc. However, as you've said, the 5900X is a little cheaper even. The 5800X3D is out now and for me is 500 Euros. While the 5900X goes for about 430 Euros and the 5950X for about 560 Euros. So would I be better off getting the 5900X or the 5950X then or would it not matter for mainly gaming performance? So, either way I'd be going with Ryzen 5000 it seems if I want stability and ease of use. However, what motherboard do I pair with that? I'm leaning more towards the ones I posted in the original message as it's nice having a good amount of USB and Sata ports and such. However are there ones I should avoid or any of those that are good if you know? I also want it to look at least decent as I do have a glass side panel on my case, so I don't mind spending 400+ on a motherboard I'm going to keep for 4-6 years. Or do I make a new post about the choice of motherboard once I get to it?
  2. It says the parts list is private. I'd prefer AMD, but Intel is an option as well of course. I don't mind it being a dead socket really. What I kinda meant in my post with future-proof is more that it's able to last me 4-6 years. So either way I'd have to replace the motherboard whenever that next upgrade is. In my post I explained I kind of don't want to wait for a new platform, as I don't want the issues I had with first gen Threadripper again (or something similar) and prefer something more stable. The 12900 KS goes for about 840 Euros here, meaning even with a cheaper motherboard It'll be the same if not more expensive than the AMD option. I don't mind it being a bit on the pricier side though. So the KS might be an option I guess
  3. I am wanting to upgrade to a new CPU but I am having trouble deciding which one. I currently have a Threadripper 1950X. I've had it since launch and I feel like it's time to upgrade as I've been running into too many issues (Random shutdowns, unstableness, not running some games well at all) over the years and I'm looking for something better. I do not want to wait for next gen stuff as I don't want the chance of having same issues again when adopting a new generation as I had with this one (and I still have 4x8 GB DDR4 from my current system) I am interested in the 5800X3D currently, since I've been looking for something semi-future proof (last me 3-6 years before changing anything), but I don't know if it's the right choice. It'll probably go for around 500 Euros in my country. However, for around 575 Euros I could get the 5950X. I mainly use my computer for games (Though I do have 4 monitors on at all times, watching things like Twitch streams, Youtube, multiple tabs, etc while playing games. But I don't know if this affects anything) I do play on 4K resolution so I know I'm GPU bottlenecked currently but I'm looking for something future proof for when I get a better GPU. Outside of the CPU choice, I would have to make a choice for the motherboard. I was looking for a good quality motherboard with a good amount of USB ports and storage options and saw a few that seemed interesting: - Gigabyte X570 Aorus XTREME, which goes for about 600 Euros. (One reason I'm considering this one is because the bigger size looks nicer in my case as I currently have an EATX as well) - Gigabyte X570S Aorus Master, which goes for about 380 Euros - MSI MEG X570S ACE MAX, which goes for about 420 Euros - ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, Which goes for about 450 Euros Any other suggestions/questions are welcome of course. Thanks, TL;DR Looking to upgrade my CPU to something higher end from AMD and need help with choice of motherboard and CPU
  4. Pretty sure it'll be available soon. You could just wait until you can buy the Strix 2080 Ti. Also, I'd recommend waiting for benchmarks anyways. Unless you really need a new GPU or you just want the best of the best.
  5. I did not forget. I have reapplied the thermal paste 2 times to see if that was the problem even. And HWiNFO shows that the pump (Water Pump+) is doing something.
  6. My temperatures have gone up to 87 C now. Only one of the tubes is hot, the other one is basically room temperature. When opening HWiNFO64 it shows that the Water Pump+ is running at around 1500RPM. So it does show something.
  7. I've asked this a pretty long time ago. But I thought it was solved. Turns out it wasn't. My 1950X gets to around 85C (Sometimes above that) when almost iddling (2-7% usage) Is my AIO not working properly and should I RMA? Once I boot it up for the first time after I wake up, it seems to have a temperature between the 37 and 43 C, but the temperature slowly starts rising. I have my 1950X at 3.7 MHz at 1.125V and my memory is at 3200 Mhz. Some things that I noticed was that the entire radiator except for where the tubes go into the radiator is room temperature (So the only hot part is where the tubes enter the radiator). One of the 2 tubes is really hot and the other one is basically room temperature. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks in advance.
  8. I have version 0902. I've also come across a few other problems when going into my bios and leaving after that. When I save the changes and reset it's (90% of the time) either stuck on Code 15: Detect Memory or shows a black screen but it says it's in the bios menu. So I don't know what's exactly going on here.
  9. AMD Ryzen Master and the small motherboard screen on the motherboard itself. I have ran benchmarks before and it has been on for awhile. But it just doesn't seem to drop below 55 C anymore at all. Even when not doing anything for awhile. I'm using the Asus Zenith Extreme mobo.
  10. So, my idle temperature is not 41 - 43 anymore for some reason. It has been running for awhile and I have done some benchmarks about 30 minutes ago. But it doesn't seem to go lower than 55 C anymore. It might be a problem with the cooler? I can't seem to find the bios revision on the board. Sorry for responding so late.
  11. Hey all. So I've had this Enermax Liqtech TR4 360mm AIO for quite awhile now. I've always been suspicious about it since they light on the block itself wasn't completely lit up (while seeing other people's blocks actually light up fully). I didn't mind this as it was just a minor thing. But I started noticing other people had lower temperatures, by quite a lot. I do not have much experience with AIO coolers. But when I feel the air coming out of my radiator, it seems like only about 1/3rd of the radiator is blowing warm air. The other 2/3 of the radiator doesn't feel warm at all. I don't know if this is normal or not, that's why I am asking you guys for help here. My temps @3.7GHz: Idle (5-10% usage according to task manager): 55-58 C Load: 80-92 when running the cpu test of 3DMark. I find these temperatures quite a bit higher than what I see everywhere else. So I'd like to know if my cooler is the problem or something else. Thanks in advance!
  12. Hm. I'll wait for Zen+ and see how that will perform. if it's close or the same performance, I'll go with the 8700K, since selling my current motherboard and buying one for a Ryzen 2 CPU will cost me some extra money too. I hope I don't have to wait for too long since there's a bundle with the i7 8700K in my country right now which gives some games and such with it. But it'll last until the end of April. Haven't heard of any Intel CPUs coming out soon. Unless I missed anything. Thanks all for answering!
  13. Hey all. Awhile ago I won a MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard from a giveaway. (Which costs around 175 Euro in my country) I have a few options and I want people's opinion on what I should do. I could buy a 8700K (Between 320-350 euro in my country) or I could sell the motherboard and wait for Ryzen+ or, well, any other new cpu coming out. I'm not in a hurry or anything, since it is just a secondary pc build. So it could wait for a bit if necessary. If I do buy the 8700K. What cooler do you recommend me getting? (Preferably an AIO, 280mm because of my case) My case: Mastercase Maker 5 Any questions is welcome ofcourse. Thanks in advance!
  14. I'm pretty sure the temperatures are correct though. Idle it sits around 41 - 43 C And I'm pretty sure my room temperature is above 20 atleast. But I'll look for the bios rivision. EDIT: Sorry, I think I've made a mistake with everything. By stock, I meant 3.75 ghz at 1.125V. I forgot that wasn't stock because of Ryzen master.
  15. I'm using Ryzen Master and HwInfo64 to see the temperatures, which from my knowledge show the real temperature and I've updated my bios 2 days ago.
