Mira Yurizaki reacted to Sakkura in Resolution vs Framerate
They are equally important, just depends on the particular numbers. For example, 1080p 144Hz is more demanding than 1440p 60Hz, but less demanding than 4K 60Hz.

Why do we think some marketers leaving the team means the ship is sinking?
Whatever to connect the conspiracy dots I suppose.

Mira Yurizaki got a reaction from PlayStation 2 in xbox 360 fps
The only way for an emulator to run a game better is for the emulator itself to pretend the hardware runs better. However, this can have unforeseen consequences because the game was designed with the hardware specifications in mind.
Basically, there's no real way to fix this unless you're willing to get your hands dirty in emulation code.

their first gen GPU? probably not on the high end, but more options is always good for the consumer.
Though it's worth noting that they worked in marketing, not the actual creation of GPUs. no idea bout the other 5-10k if that's even true

Mira Yurizaki reacted to SpaceGhostC2C in are amd gpu's drivers still improving olders cards?
It all boils down to how bad the drivers were at launch. Traditionally, AMD has launched its GPUs with drivers that didn't yet make the most of the hardware. Hence, as they polished the drivers over time, these GPUs experienced a performance boost that put them more in line with their hardware specs.
There may also be a difference in willingness to implement completely new features into drivers for older cards, but I'm no sure there's a difference either way there, and it will certainly depend on how similar the architecture is between older and newer cards.

So the developer of a standard shouldn't be allowed to enforce a minimum quality?
No wonder USB is so fucked.

If it's going to continue to be an afterthought, then FreeSync is merely a checkbox on the list of features to make some product look better.
EDIT: It's the same thing with HDR. If the monitor is rated for HDR400, I'm not even going to bother with it.

Mira Yurizaki reacted to Streetguru in Laptop prioritizes Intel HD graphics over Nvidia GTX 850M
It's only going to use the nvidia GPU when it needs it, it routes it through the intel graphics to save on battery power, which is probably why you can't disable the intel iGPU.
term for it is nvidia optimus, long as you have the right drivers it should automatically use the nvidia GPU under load. run a game in a window and see what task manager shows next to it.

Mira Yurizaki got a reaction from weirdbit145 in Formatting a SSD smaller than its capacity.
Yes. If you go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Manager, you can find a more advanced partition manager that will let you set a size on how big you want it to be.

I don't think anyone is doing that. They are comparing freesync to gsync in both technical requirements of each and how it effects the general performance of the whole market.

I'm more concerned about this. What exactly do you mean by "it goes turn off automatically"?

Mira Yurizaki got a reaction from straight_stewie in I had a crazy idea, I wanna make a graphics card company.
Let's step back and start with the basics:
Do you know how to manage a reasonably complicated project? Do you have even a smidgen of engineering experience? If you answered "no" to both, you'd have zero chance of even getting venture capital. Even if we pretend someone or someones were willing to give you a lot of capital, not having experience in either is just asking for trouble.

Mira Yurizaki reacted to vK 3 1 RON in How do people grow organically in stream platforms until making a living out of it?
It's not the game they're playing, it's their personalities that people see and want to be involved with. I can't speak for every streamer, some streamers have fantastic skill i.e. Esports players, however, people like Tyler1. It's just his personality, same with Fitz, Poki etc, majority of streamers have magnetic personalities and provide something you can't find elsewhere to the same degree. Although, I'd say the exception is Ninja, I never understood how he became famous...
