  1. I just looked up coil whine and yep, I have no doubt either. So I'll just get a new graphics card then?
  2. Whenever I use an application that demands a lot of work from my graphics card, my computer starts making a squealing noise. It's especially noticeable when I turn up the volume on my speakers, but I can still hear it from my computer when it's turned off. My graphics card is a GTX 760. When I use Folding At Home on full, it folds about 30k. This is ridiculous, since it should easily be folding 60k. My CPU, i5 4670 also folds poorly compared to its maximum potential. It should be folding at 14k on maximum, but it goes between 5k and 12k. This leads me to believe that it might be the power supply. I have a non-modular Corsair CX 750W. I heard that the CX series is Corsair's lowest quality of power supplies. It also makes a squealing noise when I play Battlefield 3 and Watch Dogs. When I play a less demanding game like GTA IV, it doesn't make any squealing noise, even with maximum settings. I could do some benchmarks. I'm guessing the frame rate will be a lot lower than it should be. I've laid out the facts pretty well now. Does anyone know what the problem could be? My PSU? My GPU? Both?
  3. I love the Z2 because it's water proof and I love dbrand because they are giving me a chance to get one for free
  4. A strange thing just happened, I tried using another minijack 3.5mm - 2x Phono RCA cable I had lying around (that was much shorter) and the static noise disappeared. It's not really optimal though, since the cable won't reach where my PC normally stands
  5. In the back of my ASUS B85M-G motherboard
  6. My Bose Companion 2's are giving static/white noise when I crank up the volume. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
  7. I just watched ReviewTechUSA's video about Nintendo and I hope I am not the only one here being displeased at how Nintendo is marketing the Wii U. Even to this day, people still think the Wii U is an add-on for the Wii. They should have had more first party launch titles, and not to mention advertise the console better. They should have chosen a better name and advertised it better. If they made a commercial saying you can play Mario, Zelda plus Call of Duty on the same console, it would have been a deal breaker. I think Nintendo needs to get some new management and rethink their marketing strategy. There are many third parties who don't make games for the Wii U simply because it doesn't have a big enough audience to make money. If Nintendo started marketing for hardcore gamers and not just for children, the Wii U could really make a huge success. What do you think of the Wii U's current condition? Should Iwata and Reggie be replaced?
  8. I already tried that, but I can take a picture of the case anyhow.
  9. Update: I did the paper clip method. The power supply is working! That narrows it down to the motherboard. (or CPU? Or chipset?) Yes, I do have RAM. Both chips are plugged into the yellow dimm slots.
  10. The motherboard light used to come on when the PSU was on, but now it doesn't anymore. I connect all power connectors to the motherboard, plug in the PSU, turn on the PSU, but there is no light. And I am gonna try the paper clip method right now.
  11. I am pretty sure I plugged it in correctly. Does it matter which way I plug it in? Either way, the motherboard is supposed to show a green LED even if the CPU cooler is not connected, right?
  12. I just tried it, and it did not work.
