  1. Hi thanks for the reply. Im restricted to moving the router as I live in a studio flat so it was in the corner I have manged to move it towards the middle part of the back wall and its a little higher. I have played around changing the 5GHZ band manually but in the end the router seems to be able to handle it well under auto setting. So okay ? I'll leave the antennas facing straight up. All appliances are in the same room anyhow. Laptop and phone generally work okay over Wi-Fi but my Sony smart TV using the 5Ghz normally behaves but using Netflix will not always stream 1080p all the time and will dip to 720p at times but that could be my adsl line at 6.5mbs to 7mbps.. I really don't want to use manual connection using cat6 cable that's why I invested in a decent router with beamforming technology...
  2. Hi Guys just doing some homework would be great to get some feedback on how to place or best practice to place my TP- link Routers antennas it has three antennas that can be moved. It's been working great but recently it has been misbehaving dropping out on the 5Ghz band. Now it's got the new beamforming technology so realy should not matter to much and have left all three facing straight up but is this the best way???
  3. Hi Ecoboost thanks for the reply. I thought as much. Funny thing is my previous mobile was Samsung S5 also with EE and I manged to use odin flash tool with sammobile website and it was pretty much a breeze to flash the S5 with any of the roms from their website as they only listed Samsung official Roms. So I never had to wait for EE as they took bloody ages to release updates. The other great thing using sammobile is that I always used the BTU update as that was UK generic firmware with no dam bloatware. I looked at Xperia blog and they say you can use their flash tool to do the same thing but it must be unlocked ? phone only.. Dam I don't want to take the risk and brick my new Z5 unless anyone has a dead cert method for the Z5 I really want to get android 6.01 update Sony has fixed loads of bugs and improved the camera software too...
  4. Hi Guys , I have just got my new Sony Z5 mobile my carrier is EE here in the UK . I'm I to understand that if I get my phone unlocked that I will not have to wait for EE to realise their latter firmware its got Android 6.0 now and the phone will instead see the newer 6.01 UK generic firmware that sony have released already. I know Sony have released a newer firmware for the E6653. I know that you can flash the phone using xperia blog website but its to new and dont want to brick it will this allow the phone to see the newer update ??? Any idea thanks Marc , London UK

Okay Wanshow tonight or shall I say I tomorrow .. get confused ..lol I will be listening this weeks show using my new Sony Z5 with stereo speakers first phone I have had I think as Iv had Samsungs for years so Linus in both ears ..lol Chilling out in my West London flat here in the UK ..and hope not to drop off at 2am ..I'll try Bonus it a bank holiday weekend yey I was at a Seminar at Brunnel University just down the road from me here in Uxbridge ,London yesterday part of a business Expo day . It was about social media funny enough and I did mention about Linus media group and the Wanshow each week .
  6. Hi Thanks for that I have just upgraded from my S5 to the new Sony Z5 and loving it so far . I had all this downloaded and ready to flash the phone once I got it home as I new being with EE here in the UK they are terrible or useless at realsing software updates ... Had the phone for just under a week and realy like this handset been with Samsung for years and have nothing to say bad about their phone pretty dam realiable I just faced a change . Anyway as soon as I switched the phone on with out putting in the nano sim it found a system update as it already had Lollipop 5.1.1 I think ..the update was about just over 1GB .. I was thinking wow is this gonna be Marshmellow would save me alot of time having to flash the handset so I was thinking to good to be true I recon this would be all the updates for Lolllipop 5.1.1 as the Sony Z5 has been on the market a little while now and also all the updates scence the phone was manufactured last year . So after a while I held my breath ..annnnd awesome its Marshmellow 6.0 !!! Thats saved me so much time and could just get on with setting the rest of the phone .
  7. I have just upgraded from my Samsung S5 to a new Sony Z5 on EE and amazingly it downloaded Marshmellow straight away which was pretty awesome !! And a first as EE are normally pretty terrible and very late in the year before their normally release their software updates . I think EE had the software update out already because the Sony Z5 has been out in the market a little while now .. So just make sure its the same model you are flashing the ROM to and its a doddle to do make sure battery is at least 70% charged !!! before you flash the phone .
  8. You can use what ever ROM you like from that page . The only thing you need to make sure is its for the same model it can not be for another model other wise you can slap on what ever Official ROM you want from that page . I always tend to go for the BTU version for me that is because its a UK generic ROM from Samsung and does not have any of the ''bloatware''. You can use Vodaphone 02 if you like it will just come with their bloatware
  9. Hi Their thanks for the reply . I have just managed to do a deal with my service provider EE here in London , UK Yes I can do a manual flash and its very similar to useing Odin flash and using Sammobile for my Samsung Phone. Getting my new Sony Z5 on Monday I think it will come with Android Lollipop out the box EE have told me will not be till September till they realise Marshmellow. I have used the website above link and its fine . I downloaded the flash program very similar to odin for samsung and went to the firmware page on that website and just downloaded official Android Marshmellow 6.0 using Australian generic build as UK version of 6.0 not available yet they also only post Sony official ROM's so you can put what ever build you want as long as it for the phone you are putting it on on my case Sony Z5 model E6653 and its Sony offical rom so will not screw up my warranty for 2 years . If I had to root the phone then no way would i do that on a new handset .. So yep this is more or less the same thing as I did with my current Samsung S5 .
  10. Thanks for that I also found this website out as well ...http://www.xperiablog.net/2016/03/12/install-xperia-marshmallow-using-flashtool-and-xperifirm-guide/ Seems very similar to using odin as a flash tool . .. If anyone else has better idea or knows of a realy good website be cool
  11. Hi guys ... Need some help on this I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and for years now including my previous S3 I was able to manually flash the software using a great company called Sammobile and then using Odin to flash the newer version of Android by using the Sammobile as they only list Samsung official stock firmware's on their website it will not invalidate the warranty as its official rom and it will not trip knox 0x0 . I did this loads of times as my service provider EE here in the London ,UK can take ages to realse the newest versions to download OTA ..I have Android Marshmallow running on my S5 now and its great and EE still not have released it yet .,. With the Sony Z5 Sony have released Marshmallow already scene April I think its on their Sony website but EE have told me will not be until September . Like with the Samsung is their a way or software that I can use like odin to flash using offical stock ROM from Sony . I do not want to ROOT the phone as that will screw up the warranty . All advise will be gratefully appreciated
  12. Hi guy thanks for the comments been a great help . I think my heart is set on the new Sony Z5 just looks very professional and not so blingy like some of the other phones and I have a Sony 32'' Smart TV and realy happy with that with their X-reality pro engine . I have had Samsung phones for years now first Gen galaxy then S3 and now I have S5 both been very reliable despite the comments on the S5 . The new S7 looks fantastic and Samsung have finally after all these years perfected the Galaxy phone . But for me now I fancy a change and the Sony looks like the phone for me Sony is a brand that I can trust and it looks relay reliable handset with a very good new camera sensor . Also one thing I realy like the look of is the dedicated camera button and fast auto-focus so I can take pictures really quickly when I am out seeing tribute bands or gigs something that I did not like on my S5 or the only real thing I found annoying took a bit of time to auto-focus and log into the phone with number password .

  14. Hi Guys and Girls .... My contact is up in a few weeks time with EE here in the UK . Im an Android guy so no Iphones for me ... Anyway I have a S5 at the moment and had Samsung mobiles for years but thinking of a change . I do very much like the new Sony Z5 solid peace of kit and quite processional looking ... But I do like the whole Windows attitude I understand that apps are real issue at the moment and holding this handset back which I feel is a shame I do wish that Goggle and Microsoft can sort things out somehow ... So any feed back is it realy that shit !!! Or is it in fact not bad on the hardware side and Microsoft has fixed a lot of the buys ...
  15. If you dont do it that way round first yes its a bitch but it the only way . You dont even have to wait for the little upgrade icon near the clock in Windows or do a system update . Just go to the Microsoft download centre and pull of the Windows 10' ISO file and media creation tool much quicker way
