  1. sure enough it doesn't budge a millimeter. I have to wait for the rest of my components to see if the heatspreader actually makes contact with the IHS of my CPU (I really can't see if it does when I look from the side)
  2. I never got far enough to put the whole cooler on, I just saw that the backplate was loose and I just gave up after 30 minutes of trying to figure out what was happening and I disassembled it. I could try reassembling it later and take some photos and post them here. There is only one set of spacers and it's universal
  3. also I don't understand how these screws have anything to do with the backplate moving along with the standoffs... could you please help me I have never installed an AIO alone before and this kinda confuses me (I know I sound stupid right now but I am kinda panicking)
  4. My case hasn't arrived yet so I can't really do much (it was out of stock and I don't know when it will arrive, could me tomorrow could be in 3 weeks)
  5. Hey guys, I have an X570 Crosshair VIII and the ALFII rev 3, I tried installing the cooler like Arctic showed on a vid they uploaded but when I installed the standoffs I picked up the motherboard to do something else and the backplate was very loose and moved up and down with the standoffs... what's up with that? Also I went on Arctic's site and it says that my AIO has some wrong screws in the box (look at photo).
  6. will study it when I get the cpu, I bookmarked the link! Thx for the help m8
  7. I will probs keep my 6700 in case I somehow fry my 6700k trying to oc but if I achieve a stable oc I will probs sell it for 250
  8. well it's too late I already bought it and thing is that the 7700k is a really hot cpu . I was getting really annoyed that I have a high end mb and an aio and I don't get to use them here the 8600k costs around 500 at the big retailers and a new mb for 250 nope
  9. lel already bought kek. It's actually dirt cheap for Greek standards. If I were to buy a whole new platform I would have to pay around 800 also I plan on keeping my pc for another 5-8 years so yeah
  10. here in greece the 6700k is 330 in the cheap stores, if I were to buy it from a big retail store I would pay 450 euro I remember (falsely maybe) that the 6700k was a crappy overclocker... holy smokes 4.6Ghz
  11. I have a 6700 right now and a z170 gaming 7 (Gigabyte) and a h100i v2 and I got tired of not taking advantage of my pc so I bought a 6700k and it's arriving in 1 week. What is a reasonable oc I should expect?
  12. thank you! I was trying to power my hue+ but I ended up buying a sata power to molex connector
