  1. It didn't help. you think the mobo has something to do with this? if so, how come my 1080TI works just fine?
  2. Hey LTT guys. it's been a while. I'm having a very strange issue that I'm having some hard time to address. My job is to test hardware (yes, I know...). and i'm currently having two video cards I have to test: the first is RTX 3090 HOF and Zotac RTX 3080 holoblack. I'm testing them on system based Ryzen 3950X, X570 Aorus Master, Corsair Vengence 32GB and a Seasonic 1050W Platinum power supply. My private and usual video card of that system is GTX 1080 Ti, which I have nor had any issues with. Here starts the issue: while testing BOTH video cards I mentioned, 3090 and 3080, games are crashing to desktop after a short playtime, sometimes a bit longer - but it crashes. Sounds like a driver\OS\OC issue, right. but here comes the strange part: I reinstalled Windows with clean and up to date NVIDIA drivers (466.27), also no OC done. Temperatures seems to be okay (even more than okay) either. When switching back to my GTX 1080 Ti, whoooop- nothing crashes anymore, no matter how many time I play. Now, both RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 are sent to me BRAND NEW and FULLY SEALED. It's very, very, very unlikely that both are defective and having the same issue. And if it has something to do with my system, how come my GTX 1080 Ti won't crash any game? You guys have any idea what may cause that issue? I'm pretty much clueless, and those cards can't stay here forever. Thank you.
  3. Update: I ran a full diagnostic to my new SSD, I've got no error. I renistalled the chipset drivers via intel website rather than Dells. still BSOD, still the same sys-file error. I'm clueless. never seen that kind of issue. Help?
  4. Hey guys. I've got myself a new 1TB-NVMe SSD (crucial P1) for my Alienware 17 (R3 2015-16) Laptop. I made a clean (and legal) installation of Windows 10. right after I finished with installing the drivers, and maybe some programs, I'm starting to get a BSODs (causing by iastora.sys). Those are happening before the computer half freezin-to completlely freezing, and while installing stuff. it's also happened once when benchmarking my SSD on CrystalDiskMark. When it's happen, I made it once to the Task Manager and I saw my SSD on 97% usage. I tried to reinstall Windows 10 and update it to the very updated version. BSODs, with the same error (iastora.sys) Sounds to me like a distinct SSD failing. but a friend who knows thing or two about drives says otherwise, and claims the driver as the issue. I've attached a RAR containing the last 2 dump files. I'll appriciete any help from you guys. And to make it by the rules: OS - Windows 10 x64 Windows 10 I installed Windows Age of system (hardware) - 3 years Age of OS installation - Yep, twice. CPU model - 6820HK Video Card model GeForce GTX 980M MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop) Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this) System Manufacturer - DELL Exact model number (if OEM or laptop) - Alienware 17 R3 Laptop or Desktop? Laptop. Thank you in advance. dump.rar
  5. Prey it open with some wrench.
  6. Okay, I have no idea how and why, I did nothing - but now the temps won't get past 65c on stress. Any explainations?
  7. Interesting. I'll try. thank you!
  8. it's 42~45 on idle. And my room is actually hot. but I don't think that it can affect my temps that much. My GPU temps for instence are pretty normal.
  9. When I touch the tubes, I feel constant vibration (as something is flowing). But it's weird tho, before I moved my temps used to be just fine...
  10. There it is. (The profile is on "quiet" because I have a very high RPM Noctua fans.)
  11. I can. Just tell me what am I looking for?
  12. I see. is there any way to check if the cooler is failing?
  13. Is that cooler infamous for it's issues?
