  1. I believe I'm using 2.4 GHz now on the old router, but I know the new fiber router has both 2.4 and 5 GHz. But if the wifi card shuts down when i turn my desktop to sleep it would be useless. If I connect a switch to the fiber box and then the routers to the switch, something like the picture. Would that work or do I have to ask someone else / new topic?
  2. Would the ASUS PCE-AC68 AC1900 or the ASUS PCE-AC56 AC1300 work?
  3. I got new fiber internet a few days ago and the connection is dropping out all the time on wireless devices. Before the router was in 1. floor, now it's in 2. floor right above where it was. On my phone it says the connection is "bad" all the time with 0/3 bars on the wifi symbol. My desktop is currently using ethernet from the old router, but will be switched over to the fiber ethernet soon. When I get the fiber connection for my desktop I want to install a wifi card and use that as an access point for the fiber wifi. Can it be set up as an "extension" of the router so I can move seamlessly between 1. and 2. floor without being disconnected? Something like they do in schools? Would it still work if I put my desktop in sleep mode?
  4. Norway haha. There are bars where you can get a drink, but if you want a bottle of anything other than a beer to take home, then the airport is your "only" option. But we don't really use/drink that much alcohol anyway ( see paragraph 3) http://www.languagesoftheworld.info/uncategorized/global-alcohol-consumption.html
  5. We have very strict rules about alcohol and only one store (directly translated: The wine monopoly) can sell alcohol other than beer, apart from tax free at airports. Any grocery store can sell beer, but not at specific times of the day and not at special days. Pharmacies can sell, nail polish remover and antibiotic gel that contains a little alcohol and is made undrinkable. Hardware stores can sell alcohol for small stoves and cleaning purposes but those are colored and highly toxic (undrinkable).
  6. No. The only thing i could find that contains isopropyl alcohol are some wet pads for cleaning nail polish, and that's only 3%... In Norway, we rarely use alcohol for anything other than drinking. Everything else is colored and/or highly toxic.
  7. Okay. I just checked and the colored alcohol is out of stock anywhere near me and shipping is twice the price of the actual product (40 kr + 80 kr shipping, 1 liter). On the danish site, although more expensive per liter, it's actually cheaper (45 kr + 35 kr shipping, 500 ml). Since I can't see myself using 1 liter of alcohol to clean thermal paste, I think I'll just go with the danish alcohol because it's clear and less expensive.
  8. So it's okay to use the colored alcohol? Also, it it possible to use 20% vodka?
  9. No, in the spec sheet the only ingredient is propan-2-ol
