  1. Hello Guys, I am trying to get recommendations regarding home theater systems for surround sound. We current have a all in one system that is probably like 12 years old or something. Anyways, we are looking to upgrade to a individual component style setup for the surround sound system. With this in mind we will need the below. * Receiver * Center Channel * two front speakers * two back speakers * at least one sub restrictions are shown below: We have a limit based on space for our current setup which i will share in the pictures attached to this thread. * The speakers are sitting on crown molding which are 2.5 inches width. * Clearance of crown molding to ceiling is 8 inches * Willing to have speaker be laid sideways if required to make it work. ***** we are willing to make something for the speakers to lay on for the crown molding to be able to get these speakers in the areas we desire. We were originally thinking of going with the below build. Klipsch - Reference Series 10" 150W Powered Subwoofer - Black Klipsch - Reference Series Quad 3-1/2" 400-Watt Passive 2-Way Center-Channel Speaker - Black 2x Klipsch - Reference Premiere 5-1/4" 300-Watt Passive 2-Way Height/Surround Channel Speakers (Pair) - Walnut ***** These speakers I would have setup in the corners on their sides on top of the crown molding. ***** Otherwise I was thinking that we could do actual bookshelf style speakers for the front corners and put on top of those bookshelves instead of on the crown molding as shown directly below https://www.bestbuy.com/site/klipsch-reference-series-5-1-4-340-watt-passive-2-way-bookshelf-speakers-pair-black/6241808.p?skuId=6241808 Pioneer - Elite 7.2-Ch. Bluetooth Capable with Dolby Atmos 4K Ultra HD HDR Compatible A/V Home Theater Receiver - Black Would love to hear people's thoughts regarding this if it would be a good setup or not.
  2. Okay, so will this interrupt any internet that is going to be traveling the lines?
  3. The thing is, we already have cable runs setup for Ethernet which i believe if cat5e. Is it possible to do this over the LAN? Also the cable runs would end up being in a very difficult place to run the cables and thus I want to avoid this option if possible. I understand that I could also do many different things but I just want to know if it is possible to do this over the LAN and if it is viable either direction. Having the VR over the LAN (This is the ideal setup if possible) or having the main Desktop over the LAN.
  4. Hello guys, I am trying to build a multi-room PC setup that will have the Desktop in the living room while having a full peripheral multi-monitor setup in another room. This setup if realistic would run over the network and then have a full windows experience. For example, I want to have these things as shown below Desktop in living room for VR setup as to avoid having to run fiber cables to satisfy the requirements of the high bandwidth usb 3.0 and 3.1 Over the network peripheral setup to different room in house, mouse, keyboard, dual-monitor setup Full windows experience for two monitors unlike SteamLink where you can only run one monitor and one game at a time. Low latency from PC to separate room Prefer no cable runs if possible, want to be able to run over the network as stated earlier I know that this might not be viable and worth it as you may only save space vs saving money.
  5. Do you have any suggestions on GPUs that are actually single slot cards that i can then combine together into a system to support the 12 monitors i want to support?
  6. Well as far as what i understand is that the Quadro's are single slot cards and will be some of the only options in the price range since you will be unable to do more than 2 with a dual slot cards.
  7. I am creating a 8-12 monitor system that I am going to shipping out to a friend and I need some suggestions. The budget is about 1400-1500 dollars, just need a tower. The computer is going to be used for a Day trading system where they will be monitoring stocks and graphs using excel and other programs. Current parts I am thinking of are as shown below: [PCPartPicker part list](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z7nHpG) / [Price breakdown by merchant](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z7nHpG/by_merchant/) Type|Item|Price :----|:----|:---- **CPU** | [AMD - Ryzen 7 2700 3.2GHz 8-Core Processor](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/WPQG3C/amd-ryzen-7-2700-32ghz-8-core-processor-yd2700bbafbox) | $279.99 @ Amazon **CPU Cooler** | [Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2) | $29.49 @ SuperBiiz **Motherboard** | [Asus - Prime X470-Pro ATX AM4 Motherboard](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6hF48d/asus-prime-x470-pro-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-x470-pro) | $163.99 @ Newegg **Memory** | [Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/J27CmG/corsair-memory-cmk16gx4m2a2666c16) | $139.89 @ OutletPC **Storage** | [Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Ykbkcf/samsung-960-evo-500gb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-mz-v6e500) | $159.99 @ Amazon **Video Card** | [PNY - Quadro P600 2GB Video Card](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/m6H48d/pny-quadro-p600-2gb-video-card-vcqp600-pb) | $168.99 @ SuperBiiz **Case** | [Fractal Design - Focus G (White) ATX Mid Tower Case](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/YhzZxr/fractal-design-focus-g-white-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-ca-focus-wt-w) | $49.99 @ Amazon **Power Supply** | [SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jWFXsY/seasonic-focus-plus-gold-850w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ssr-850fx) | $104.99 @ Amazon **Optical Drive** | [Asus - DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/wT2kcf/asus-optical-drive-drw24f1st) | $18.94 @ Amazon **Operating System** | [Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/wtgPxr/microsoft-os-kw900140) | $98.99 @ Newegg | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* | | **Total** | **$1215.25** | Generated by [PCPartPicker](https://pcpartpicker.com) 2018-09-04 16:35 EDT-0400 | This is not including the 2nd and 3rd GPU. I would love to hear your guy's thoughts on differences and if it actually is plug and play for this setup.
  8. I feel like this the post that you are quoting isn't a very good one since i dont think the motherboard is able to even support another Video Card in it to support the 12 Monitors that i am wanting to run unless i am mistaken
  9. Although, do keep in mind. I do want this to last me for a long time and not have to upgrade this at a later date to continue.2
  10. No, i dont have anything yet for this. At this point i am not worring about any budget but i dont want to really spend more than what is needed.
  11. Hello, I am building a computer that is going to be used for day trading with 12 monitors and looking for some help with determining the components needed for this beast. I am going to have a budget of about 1300-1400 dollars and maybe a bit above. It is going to be running 12 1080p monitors
  12. Well, if you read about my time frame. it is unknown, because it is based on when i would be able to sell my current computer to suppliment for the cost of the new one
  13. Yeah, but i mean i know i wouldn't need that horsepower unless some of these new games really start to leverage the multithreaded capabilities to warrant the really high end CPU. But i guess i just need to know if the 6600k is going to be sufficient enough to handle the workload of uploading a stream while playing music, watching netflix and youtube and all that. since it is a i5 vs the i7.
  14. But anyways, back to my original question. 6600k Vs 6700k for my application. Is the upgrade to the 6700k good enough in my application to warrant the upgrade from the 6600k?
  15. Okay sweet, but i guess it really doesn't matter though. since i'm not going to be buying parts anyways till i sell my current one.
