I'm gonna get hate but Dave2D and LTT aren't the best reviewers. They both gloss over important data, such as CPU/GPU temperature under load.

Nicely written, you have a lot of good points with facts backing them up.
You probably already know my stance on this Max-Q BS Nvidia is trying to pull off, so you would know I back you 100% up.

Four XPS'? Dude Dell has some serious problems with that laptop's QC. It could easily be one of the best laptops on the market if the price was lowered a bit. Really nice design and build quality but once again it falls right on its face when it comes to quality control. I mean, all they need to do is hire some people to make sure the laptop functions (graphics is working, no screen issues, etc.) and they can't even do that. They're not even a small company like Razer. I've read a lot about Dell's broadcom chips straight up not working or blue screening. Oh and the other one is the battery expanding and messing up the trackpad. Serious issues.

I really want an XPS. I'm going to be serious. I think it's a freaking amazing laptop if you get a good unit. If I were to do some light gaming on it I'd probably re-paste but the sleek, professional look is a really, really big plus in my book.

Please report back how the Gigabyte is. Two m.2s is nice especially for someone like me who dual boots on one SSD for a Windows + Linux combo. It would be soo worth the money for an extra dedicated drive for an OS. I personally am going to wait until mid next week until I make a decision about exactly what my next device will be but the Aorus x5 v7 looks like a killer machine.

You can get all of those notebooks for under US$1500 with those specs, so I don't understand your argument...

lol, firstly, I wrote that article. secondly, I was actually wrong. Technically, it isn't the i7-7820 that requires the 930MX--it's the TB3. Only the board with the 930MX has TB3, apparently.

That seems just... just terrible. Get an x230. It will be half the price or less and have way more power and connectivity.

It's clearly stated in the article that they don't share the same TDP. I believe the 1050 will be running at 40W. Samsung called 40W "full power" for that chip's performance.

The 1050 will be plenty enough performance for me, since I can't think of any game I play that it can't keep 60 fps in. Maybe Doom? I'll be gaming on an eGPU anyway.

I saw this guy's interview with Louis Rossman on YouTube and decided to interview him. I think it's great that he's fixing these defects on Razer's machines for basically pennies on the dollar that they charge.

IKR. WHERE DO THEY GET THEIR FOCUS GROUPS LOL. The ones that can make shells can't implement hardware (AW has a really nice shell), the ones that can implement hardware can't make shells (Clevo & MSI looking at you here).

I would go with the Razer Blade 14, its horrificly slick, its slim and in that price point it can bit anything.
My second choice would be Macbook Pro, only cause Apple inn all its shitness has some really quality stuff.

Man I have personally said it tand i will say it again. Clevo and MSI laptops are great but those two and the 3 he is pointing out are not on the same class, you can't compare them.
Secondly, why Razer makes crappy Laptops, if you compare size-thickness-build quality-support, Razer Dell and Apple is the way to go.The only problwem with the 14 inch Blade is that maybe a 1050Ti would be more reasonable.
