Don't really know much about SSDs and their prices. Been meaning to get one for a long time.
 
Would this be any good? Thinking it could be a boot drive with my most common used programs.

I happen to live in both Birmingham and London, neither place has their download speeds throttled.  VM used to throttle download speeds but now only throttle uploads.
 
EDIT:  They only apply thresholds to their lowest tier packages of <30Mb/s, all higher packages don't have throttled download speeds.

They don't throttle download speeds...

I have a very different experience with VM, I have a 152 Mb connection with them and I usually get around 160 - 165, don't think I've ever been throttled and if I have then it's not been noticeable and I get pretty damn good ping. Considering the fact that I use around 1.5TB - 2.5TB per month of data I would say that I'm pretty happy with their service.

Really? What a ridiculous thing to bitch about. As soon as I opened Chrome after upgrading it asked if I wanted to use it as default. Click yes, opens up a settings screen, then you click on Edge and it will give you a list of other browsers to set as default.

emmm no that is not how it works you can install the game as many times as you wish 

how? their warranty says "replacements will be the same model or a model of like kind and quality" what they did is a straight up downgrade.
 
and if you misread above ill explain it,
 
the model I sent(HD439) in has detachable headphone cable with a short 3.5 foot cable and a longer 12 foot cable, soft velour or microfiber pads on headband and ear pads, and a silver accent ring around the side. also an upgraded driver with better bass response.
 
the headphones I received back (HD429) have none of that. fixed cable, scratchy(for lack of a better term) pleather like ear pads, and drivers that are lacking in bass.

Wait for their reply. A simple message such as 'Hey, I sent in my HD439 for repair and you've sent me back a pair of HD429's, why?' Should get the ball rolling into receiving the correct headphones.
 
Sennheiser are usually pretty good with customer support (In my experience) Just wait and see what they say, I'm sure they'll solve it and that the HD429s were sent out in error.

Get the G3258 and a H81 or B85 motherboard then upgrade to a locked i5 later is what I would do. What games are you planning on playing? If it's just league of legends and some older or inde games the G3258 will do everything you need for a year or two at least. If you're looking towards newer games you should probably get the G3258 and a Z97 board then upgrade your GPU at the same time you upgrade your CPU. G3258 should do everything that GPU can handle if it's overclocked. For overclocking I suggest a 212 plus or evo then get it to 4.2+.

Not without telling you, no, but they tried it on me and I said no way. I actually offered to set it up myself and they told me that wasn't possible. Maybe Virgin Media are changing their ways? :L 

Lots of bugs and terrible performance.

Eh it still doesn't bother me too much. I don't like the logo on the mouse, I thought the back was good before. I think too much light shows through on the mouse (at least in the picture I remember seeing) and it looks a bit cheap that way. Kinda glad I didn't wait until the mice came out cause I thought about it. But I needed a real mouse (after my old one died, and my old Logitech G5 backup died... then I was stuck with an old generic Dell mouse) and I went with another Saitek...er Madcatz R.A.T.7 (I got my original when it was still Saitek) and i'm satisfied once again.
But the logo on the Corsair RGB keyboards doesn't really bother me so much. I like the way the older logo looked more like it was punched out of the rest of the whole frame it's attatched to, where the new logo looks kinda hastily slapped on. But meh, it doesn't have any lights on it, and my focus won't be on it. Most of the time it'll be pretty dark in the room anyway, so i'll only be able to see it from whatever light the keyboard reflects onto it, and most of the time it'll probably be under the lip of my desk (cause I have this annoying keyboard tray on this old desk I got... hate keyboard trays, but there's no room on the desk due to DJ controller) or when I finally get to put it on the desk, whatever light reflects off the monitor. I don't really see it as that big a deal for me at least. My main focus will be on my pretty lights that I hope i'll get customized well to my liking.
 
My keyswitch tester came in today, little MAX Keyboard demoboard of red, black, blue, and brown switches. And for those curious here's my analysis of the keys (cause I don't think Linus or anyone else really do a good job of explaining it anymore)
 
The four switches I have actually feel about the same, as far as having a finger on each and just pressing away goes. There are still some differences and i'm sure it's all more noticeable when it comes down to a full keyboard of each switch, but I don't have the ability to test that sooooo...
 
There is a slight difference to me between the reds and blacks, the blacks do take more force to press down but people make it sound like it's more drastic than it really is. After prolonged use it might make a difference but, i'm not sure. They go down really smoothly though, in a really satisfying way actually.
 
Blues are nice, I love the way they feel. I can pretty much always feel the click inside when I press it down. I tried as hard as I could to press the key as lightly as I could to try and muffle the click sound a bit, but it doesn't really change in volume too much. If you get blues, you're going to be making a lot of noise. All the time. Period.
 
Browns, honestly I was expecting a bit more from them. There's much less of a noticeable bump in the pressing of the key (like it's much much less than the membrane keyboard i'm using right now) and it felt pretty much just like the red. That being said, the bump is there and dancing my fingers on each key (trying to sorta simulate typing a little bit on a particular switch) I could feel it, but not by much. But I do think I prefer it being there rather than the smooth feel of the red switches.
I can't test actuation points because it can't be plugged in to anything, but i'm assuming i'm going to like being able to lightly press the browns and feeling where they actuate rather than bottoming it out or guessing with each press how much i'm going to have to press it down. It's almost as if the Browns have a "soft bottom" to them as if the actuation point is bottoming it out when it's not. Overall I think it'll be a less fatiguing way to type when a certain someone in the room is trying to sleep, as i do try to be more quiet.
 
Speaking of quiet, the noise these switches have when using them on this demoboard. It's probably much different with a full keyboard, noticing videos about both a full keyboard just sounds louder overall. And i'm sure the acoustics are a bit different as well. But with what i'm given, browns actually seem to be quieter than reds are but just slightly. It seems the bump in the browns slows down the switch just slightly, or at least stifles the sound somehow. The red switch just has the key slam against the housing.
 
So yea... that's my thoughts. Just posting them if anyone else was curious. This keyboard is going to be my first mechanical so yea. I wanted to make sure I was getting the right switch for my money.

99........ point 9 percent sure that the game will be modded on a whole new level this time with the whole ocean and sky planes, yeah someone is gana have a fun time changing it. but i'm also terrified that the game is going to be terribly unoptimized when it comes out, i mean my single sapphire radon HD 6950 pulled more frames than my 290 at times in GTA IV, i just hope that isn't the case with this one.

First of all I contacted corsair via live chat where I was kindly greeted by someone called 'Rowena C'
She said: The red switch version was anticipated to release the end of July, but I am not to sure of it myself. The blue/brown was set for late August.
 
Not being satisfied with this answer I decided to dig through corsairs websites to find some e-mail addresses, I got this response from a Mr James Cao.

It has been a long road and while we have cleared many hurdles, there are still a few more to tackle before this keyboard can be released. One of the consequences of being the first one to work with a new Cherry switch is that we had to design everything from scratch. There is nothing internally that is shared with previous Cherry MX keyboards as we even had to design a new PCB to support the new switches and LED designs. We understand that the wait is crucial and people are very desperate to get their hands on a keyboard, but we will not release a product until we are sure that all the bugs and kinks are squared away in order to deliver a positive customer experience.
 
There will be nothing more frustrating than to get a product you’ve been waiting almost a year for and it does not live up to the hype or expectations of customers like yourself. We understand not everyone may have patience, it is more important for us to make sure everything is A+ and worthy of the Corsair branding. What is it with companies failing on promises to customers, this and the recent news about GTA 5 for the PC has really bummed me out... Maybe I'm expecting too much? I suppose the year I've been waiting + the amount of time these companies have had to develop their products before releasing promos about them isn't a long time? Really starting to loose faith and confidence in the PC industry especially with games and gaming peripherals Someone re-assure me.
