  1. my modem doesn't seem to have a QoS feature built in its software. Is there a possible workaround?
  2. Thanks, will research about on how QoS work
  3. I sure don't want them to know about this. If I had to limit the total bandwidth to 4mbps, and to add a new rule with my static IP saying that I will have no bandwidth limits, will that work? As in will I get the full 8mbps and the other person the 4 mbps?
  4. Hi all, I am a gamer and so I need a stable upload bandwidth. However part of my family member's work is to upload large sized files, and therefore we end up fighting a lot on the upload bandwidth. Considering we have a total upload bandwidth from our ISP of 8mbs, if I limit the upload limit on the modem's settings to 4mbs, will the family member be capped to 4mbps to upload his stuff, and I in turn get the other 4mbps? I know I can limit each computer's bandwidth through IPs, but let's assume that I cannot set up a static IP on this family member's pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

  6. Hi Everyone. I need to put together a budget build that will only be used in an office. It will only be used for Microsoft Excel, Word and an Accounting Software, therefore nothing fancy. I have experience when it comes to high end gaming parts, however I am a bit lost when it comes to cheap, less performing parts. I would appreciate any help
  7. I think I will go for the pure rock for now. I won't be overclocking a whole lot a the beginning, so I won't need it as much. If later on performance will start to go down, I will simply upgrade to a new fan and increase the overclock Also stupid question here, when buying these fans and CPUs, do I need to buy the thermal paste separately or is it included?
  8. Ok you convinced me to go with the 6600k. So, I will be getting a be quiet! pure rock to along with that over the 212 evo as I'v read it is quieter. Any thoughts please? Also I have been recommended the Cryorig H7 but I can't seem to find it anywhere at a reasonable price, the least I've found it is at 70ish euro whereas the pure rock is 28 euro.

  10. Hi all, I have one final question before purchasing my build. I cannot decide between getting an i5-6500 or an i5-6600k. This is my first build so I don't have much experience in overclocking and I don't know if I even will be overclocking. I will be gaming on an Asus vg248qe 144hz with a Gigabyte gtx 1070. The i5-6500 will cost me around 170 euro with the stock fan (which I have heard is sufficient), but the i5-6600k will cost me 210 euro by itself and another 28 euro for a proper cooler fan, so all in all +68 euro. Considering all this: is the jump to an i5-6600k worth it? As a side note, I will be getting an Asus z170 pro gaming motherboard. Thanks a lot
  11. I'm not really fussy over aesthetics. If it has good performance and low coil whine, for me it would be the better option even at the risk of reduced aesthetics
