  2. Im looking to get back into pc gaming but money is tight so im looking around on facebook marketplace to see if i can get any deals. I found one that i think is a solid price but I've gotten out of touch with modern cards. This is being sold as a built pc for $475, is that a fair price? 3. Ive taken out my gpu to eliminate possible issues. Researching flashing from usb now! Thank you!
  4. This is the next thing I wanted to try. Im unable to get any display out, is there a way I can do it?
  5. it throws the same issue with old ram that I used on the rig for several years
  6. Im having an issue getting to post. I have an asrock z77 extreme 4 mobo with an i5 3450 cpu and some pny ddr3 1866 ram. the motherboard has a post code readout on it and it cycles through a bunch and eventually gets stuck on code 4f which according to the manual is "DXE IPL is started"; I have no idea what this means. Ive replaced the CMOS battery and also tried clearing it using the jumpers. Any idea on what I can do?
  7. probably 1080p, maybe 1440. I want to keep it under $750 usd if possible
  8. Im looking to get a pc going after a few years of having a bootcamped macbook pro after coming to college and leaving my gaming pc behind. From my old pc I have an old i5-3450 and a Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB. Would either of these components be worth reincorporating into a new build? My mobo is fried and i would need to replace it. Im still a broke college kid and im wanting to be really frugal but get a respectable build going. Im looking to do some gaming for sure, some 3D modeling in Solidworks and AutoCAD, as well as some CFD simulations.
  9. Tried the jumper with no luck. Nothing has been changed on it for a long time. I got back from my university last night and it worked fine but when i went to boot it up this morning, this was happening
  10. Its never been overclocked, though Im not able to get any display output. Ive tried different monitors and with and without my GPU plugged in. Ill give it an hour with the battery out now.
  11. I have an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard and when i went to go to boot the machine it started up then immediately shut down. Now it wont boot and the postcode is reading as 4F which according to the manual is caused by 'DXE IPL is started'. After some googling it seems this is caused by a CMOS problem. My motherboard has a 'Clear CMOS' button. I tried this when powered on and when powered off and I still got the 4F code. I then tried removing the CMOS battery, waited 30 seconds, replaced it, tried to boot and im still getting the code. At this point I am at a loss. Any ideas? I read in another thread on another site that this could be caused by a corrupted bios.Specs: ASrock Z77 Extreme 4 mobo, I5-3450 cpu, Gigabyte GTX 770 4GB gpu, Coolmax ZU-800B psu, and elipta ram from an old HP desptop
