yeah because you guys have NEVER mess with the scale of objects in your thumbnails and this monitor and this thunderbolt hub are really that much bigger then Linus. I mean come on Nick, you know we can't trust the scale of objects on LTT thumbnails to even consider they where the flash drives to start with.

I was actually convinced the tiny "GPUs" were photoshoped in his hands, as in so many other videos. Turns out this time it was the actual original image, no re-sizing

Murphistic reacted to KenjiUmino in $30 MOTHERBOARD?! – Can it game?
linus sort of touched on that in the video but didn't explain it in depth - here's what i learned so far: the PS/2 interface itself is capable of NKRO among other nifty things - BUT - the keyboards made for PS/2 are not taking advantage of this capability and did only allow so many keys to be pressed at the same time because of how their matrices were designed and whatnot. the amount of keys a keyboard would register before signaling an error (the angry beeps) differed widely between brands and models.

my first keyboard was the legendary IBM model M and was VERY limited in this department.
i loved to type on this board but it sucked at gaming.

i then used and abused a bunch of cherry keyboards and a truckload of cheap no name boards over the years  and all of them had different limitations on how many and wich keys could be pressed together ... (sometimes the limitations were really game breaking - try to play a late 90's racing game with the default button mapping when you can not press 2 cursor keys at the same time - accelerating while steering? fuggedaboutid!)

I mean the case has nothing to do with performance, don't hate on it for being what it is. As someone who owns the XION-310 I do not at all think the evaluation of this case is fair, You are literally getting a box made from punched steel sheeting with powder coat paint AND usb 3.0 AND audio AND LED power/reset buttons AND an LED case fan for $25 bucks. Similarly priced as an Noctua case fan ffs.

I feel that modern-day society is so far removed from the manufacturing wizardry needed to produce a lunch box like the XION-310 that you  still mange to get disappointed becasue it does not come w a rear case fan.  I would not go looking for autopilot in a bottom trim Toyota Corral would you? The XION-310 is a box for your computer, that cost $25 there is little to nothing to complain about.

Now this is what I think was really unfair becasue I find it to be false, or at least very unlikely:
My XION-310 has no sharp edges on the exterior of the case what so ever, I don't even know where you would even find such edges on the exterior either. Those razor sharp edges (called burrs) are a byproduct of the stamping process and occur when the tooling comes in contact with the sheet metal and literally "sheers" the tool into the work. Like a giant cookie-cuter. The edges that run along the perimeter of the post-stamped work are then what have the burrs. On the exterior of the XION-310 there is no such sheet metal ends protruding along the case. All the corners of the XION-310 comprise of sheet metal bends and not sheered surface. It would be very unlikely that the tooling used to bend the work would produce a razor sharp surface. The only such surface that could even produce this symptom of burrs is at the rear of the XION-310  where the side panel mates with the case-body; even then this surface is bent flat with the rear panel and Is at an un-opportune location to cut someone. Further more; on at least my example of the XION-310 I found the powder coat to be sufficient of  a finish to classify the aforementioned location to be unworthy of the description "sharp".

The fact that the XION-310 exists for $25 AT ALL is a miracle and is worthy of praise for this reason alone. Whatever factory this came from the workers where paid in chewing gum becasue this same exact case made in USA would cost 60 bucks.

SO let me give a real honest opinion of the XION-310 as someone who used it for over a year:
-Its a metal and plastic box
-I find it looks just as unoffensive as any tire 1 prebuilt under 1000$
-Comes with more front panel IO than a Macbook has in it's entirety.
-holds a full fledged M-ATX system (regardless of how low-end or high end they are)
-As shown in Luke's video on air cooling it has the ideal amount of fan spots (2) for reasonably appreciation of cooling to fan ratio returns.
-The fan it comes with works just fine, an additional fan is like $4
-Cost less than a freaking steak people COMON!

I felt a bit sorry for that guy in the parking lot with the pickup truck, but he was happy in the end and actually he was really nice  . Probably he would agree for showing his face, but I understand, that this is more about protecting yourself of being sued by somebody who changes his mind.

Panavision DXL 8K 60fps ENOUGH SAID. He wasted over 100.000 Dollars for a compandy that charges 1.5k for a battery pack.
Any rational person would think about the business model of RED before buying stuff from them.

Panavision also comes with standard adapters (unlike the one linus bought for 2k just to get audio working) so audio and everything works with standard hardware and not like that joke RED. (They were the first to do 8k so they just charged whatever they wanted)
You can see in the image it comes with most accessories AND 60fps!

    Seriously!

Why did they expect the aluminum to just jump UP into the fins all on its own?
Why did they try a lost material casting without losing the material first?
And finally when they realized that gravity can work for them instead of against them...
Why oh why did they just slap together some hand made slabs and stuff them down inside a huge cavity rather than just sticking their original 3d printed model into the sand upside down?!

Hell they could have just punched a cavity in the sand and then use a credit card to make some thin fins deeper beneath it!

Though it was highly entertaining to watch them flounder about trying to make something. It seems like they only read the first paragraph of Wikipedia on metal casting before proceeding.

As I wrote in a YouTube comment and as others have mentioned you should not be setting the default gateway on the IB network.

It's not only not "best-practice" but will cause networking problems. I am not actually sure how you can still access the rest of the network with both PCs having the lowest metric route being via each other, but I am sure its some RFC breaking Windows magic if it does work.

If you communicate between the two machines using their IPoIB addresses then you just don't set the default gateway or touch any metrics and it will work.

If you want to be able use their LAN IP addresses and have it routed over IB (or just not worry about what IP is discovered using Windows's automatic discovery), then that's also possible. Again, don't set the default gateway or touch any metrics. Give the two machines static IPs (either manually or via DHCP). Add persistent routes between the machines for their respective LAN IP addresses.

Based on your example configuration and a Google search, using an Administrator Command Prompt, if we assume that the LAN IP for the NAS and Gaming PC are 192.168.0.20 and 192.168.0.21 respectively:
On the NAS-PC (192.168.0.20/192.168.1.20) run "route -p add 192.168.0.21 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.21" On the Gaming-PC (192.168.0.21/192.168.1.21) run "route -p add 192.168.0.20 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.20" This may be possible through the Windows GUI but again, I do not use Windows so cannot confirm this.

In my opinion, the configuration you have given is fundamentally flawed, does not achieve what it sets out to do and is misinforming people who do not understand how networking, routing and IP work. I hope you can take this feedback, test it and make the appropriate corrections.
