  1. You really can't go wrong with either, but if the 3600 kit is really only $25 more, you might as well get it. The only reason I'd save the $25 is if that was make or break for the budget of a more important component.
  2. I have an S10e right now, and the only reason I'm moving away from it is I'm getting more than I bought it for to trade up to a Note 10. It's a phenomenal phone. Size-wise, it's basically the exact same dimensions as the iPhone XS. Despite keeping almost all of the bells and whistles of its bigger brothers, it's priced way lower. If you play any games, the lower-res 1080p screen will keep framerates in check, while still remaining plenty sharp enough IMO. Definitely grab the Snapdragon version if you can, since it's got an edge in battery life. On the processor, it's really not worth considering anything last gen - the SD 855 is quite a bit faster than its predecessor (+70% on single-core, +23% multi-core on GeekBench). No UFS 3.0 storage, but I haven't had many problems with boot/load times.
  3. We're talking a dual core vs a quad core (2 big + 2 LITTLE), which also gets a very noticeable single-core performance bump. 5th gen: 6th: I'd pay the extra £45 for the extra performance and Pencil support, to be honest.
  4. Magenta is unlimited data. What you're seeing there is Android's built-in data usage tracker. It's useful for those on old limited data plans, but you're not in that boat.
  5. +1 for the Galaxy A50. I sell them at work, and they're great. Pixel 3a competitor for less money, with both a larger screen and battery.
  6. No front I/O on my Ghost. Kind of a bummer but I really like the form factor.
  7. The Exynos 9820's GPU is considerably slower than the Adreno in the SD 855, or even last year's 845 in some cases. Its CPU is quite a bit faster, however - note the low CPU usage in both games you tested. https://www.notebookcheck.net/ARM-Mali-G76-MP12-GPU-Benchmarks-and-Specs.410627.0.html
  8. Given it's got an older i5, it's probably used. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it.
  9. If there's a Micro Center near you (there are 4 in New York), you can pick up a Ryzen 5 1600 for $80, and get $30 off a motherboard if you buy one along with it.
  10. Ooh! That's actually pretty cool - didn't know that. Also apparently they made a 1070 with G5X memory? Bruh.
  11. The 1080 and 1070 use the GP104 GPU, while the 1060 uses GP106. Completely different chips with likely very different pin/pad layouts.
  12. If you live near a Micro Center, the 1600 has dropped to $100. Overclock it a bit (comes with a Wraith Spire!), and you should be good for a while. It's only slightly behind the 2600 in games, and your wallet won't hurt as much when the 3rd gen parts drop later this year. https://www.microcenter.com/product/478826/ryzen-5-1600-32ghz-6-core-am4-boxed-processor-with-wraith-spire-cooler
  13. Most PCIe cards have that tab - I attached some examples. If that slot doesn't work with that card, chances are it won't work with nearly any expansion card, which seems kinda counter-intuitive. Are there any board components right up against the front of the slot? What motherboard is it?
  14. Newegg had them both in stock this morning, but as of now the 2400G is out of stock.
  15. Honestly, I think MXM daughter boards would be a far better solution.
